  1. I value my hands, and a Muskie, in that order more than $20 for a box of hooks...Hooks are cheap! If you can afford the gear to chase Muskies seriously a few dollars more for hooks shouldn't be a big concern! That being said, if a hook looks like it'll come out easy I try with the long nose pliers...If multiple hooks are imbedded in the fishes mouth, I cut! I even cut the ones that aren't in the fish...Last summer when I didn't cut the loose hook it ended up in the palm of my hand!!!
  2. Sorry for your loss...My Dad passed away in 2003...Hard to believe its been 7 years...Your father lives on in you!
  3. If the Kawarthas are an option, look into Scotsmans Point on Buckhorn Lake. Access to Chemung and Pigeon, Muskie, Smallies and Walleye.
  4. Welcome back, hope you're feeling better.
  5. Yep, planning on fishing the Big Lake this Sat for the first time this year, I'll be trying to find some warm shallow water for Browns... Just wish it(The Lake) was always friendly...
  6. Brown Trout will be close to shore(casting distance) right now, find warmer water and they will be near...
  7. I finally got sick of crapty sonar results from the UniversalSonar and strapped a Lowrance transducer on my Powerdrive. I run the cable under the quick-release mounting plate, tie strap it to the shaft right above the motor cone and deal with the loose wire, just a matter of pulling in the slack when you stow the motor...Small price to pay for proper sonar reception...
  8. Bay City Marine in Hamilton, Doug and Clarence Nagtegal.
  9. I don't have a problem! What are you talking about?

  11. The new 70 hp Yamaha 4 stroke is apparently significantly lighter than the 75 was...I'd look into it.
  12. Do you go through a tank of gas in your boat in less than 2 weeks? If not, the ethanol is evaporating and the Octane rating is deminished...BAD for the engine Wayne...
