  1. Rapala DT Thugs or x-raps/livetarget smelts are great active presentations
  2. I live up there and know the area well. If you have any questions about any of the lakes pm me.
  3. Amazing shots, especially of the heron feeding...just amazing. I sort of skimmed over some of it, but no walleyes for the whole trip?
  4. Using the deep cycle for cranking will certainly decrease the life of your battery, as they are designed to be drawn down slowly
  5. Very nice pike. I went and got a stringer of smallies today which was a blast but thise guys are always more fun
  6. Why do you say that? It's well documented that they've been in talks for some time now
  7. Toyota and Nissan have both been playing with the idea of a Cummins powertrain in their half-ton trucks, but it looks that won't be happenening until 2016 at the absolute earliest
  8. I was going to ask if you had hairy feet...
  9. Dude those are some macho speckles!! Good fishing for sure
  10. Samuel de Champlain is a beautiful park. You have Amable du Fond and Pautois cr. for speckles, and moore lake and endless water on the Mattawa river (even Chant Plein lake), although if you're hellbent on fishing the Ott river proper, i would stay somewhere closer to Mattawa
  11. Beautiful fish. Nothing wrong with taking home the odd old girl
  12. Well done, you Tolkien nerdlings
  13. The square stern 'pal with the outboard is one slick rig
  14. I think your friend should listen to your suggestions
  15. Great skis! I wish my stretch of the ott had a good population of them (too far north i guess)
  16. I don't think fish would eat many crayfish if it were painful for them to do so.
  17. It's one thing to put a French Canadian on an English program, but a French Canadian that hardly has a grasp of the language hosting his own show is just cringe-inducing, and hilarious
  18. WFN sucks the big one! It's like the shopping channel for wannabe fisherman. As said before, 'the fishing adventurer' is an excellent travel-based fishing show devoid of any ridiculous product-showcasing. Fishing canada used to be a favourite of mine, but it's not even pallatable any more.
  19. They are very nice trucks, and you are getting some real excellent mileage so far, especially considering that it doesn't even sound like it's fully broken in yet
  20. Okay well you lived up to your username good lord!!
  21. Nothing wrong with the new dakotas at all, great trucks they just look poop in my opinion . The older ones had more ground clearance and less cheesy body moulding. The titans are excellent trucks too from everything i hear, just an absolute bear on fuel. If youre looking used, i would simply pay more attention to how it was cared for by its previous owner than anything else. Most trucks on the market will be fine for what you want it for
  22. You won't find many younger people (like myself) that could ever dream of affording a trip like that, unfortunately...
  23. The kid on Nosbonsing was found. Terrible news
  24. Just awesome! Absolutely my favourite area in the province...you must have kept a few smaller fish for the table?
  25. Up here we have the winter edition of team polaris haha! Looks like a fun time
