  2. ...Except for the ones on the stringer? Nice fish. The bass were on fire yesterday!
  3. So has the bear returned after the firecracker? They're usually quite effective.
  4. If I was visiting New Liskeard, Lac Temiscaming would be the last place I'd be going to wet a line. Lots of remote shore fishing opportunities around latchford.
  5. If you love bass fishing, you'll be in heaven. Tons of classic smallie and largie structure, with real big fish. The laker numbers are way, way down, as most of the lakes in the area are. I've never seen more than a small handful of boats at a time on the lake. I've always enjoyed my time there
  6. Hey no credit to the one who tipped you off about it... Those are HUGE for mid-july. I can't wait to get in there.
  7. I have a 2/3 wt Imperial that I bought used for $ 90, which was on the low side of market value, so I would say at least $ 160 for a 7/8.
  8. Seen that one a million times on Lake O, and have almost been hit.
  9. That trip will certainly be a good way to figure out what musky stuff you need and what stuff you can part with...
  10. LOL! Well feel free to ask him. The OP was the one who made the video, and since he lives in NWO (Northwestern Ontario) where the bass are dumber than a bag of hammers, I'm certainly convinced... Awesome video btw!
  11. Awesome! I'm sure the fish were just an added bonus. I think I just put another musky destination on the list though!
  12. Good stuff. I was close to the area this weekend. Smallie fishing is excellent just about everywhere up there, but also completely blanked on the walleye. Water is already warm as hell, and the walters seem to be well into their summer doldrums. Just being up there is the best part though!
  13. I've seen game cam photos of cougars in the haliburton area, and I know others that have as well. Not sure why there has been any doubt all these years...
  14. Once they get a taste.... Sounds like fear-mongering. Yes, cougars are generally fearless (for good reason), but they're also incredibly elusive and avoid getting anywhere near humans. Regardless, I wouldn't be calling some trigger happy smokies to my house in an instance like this. If they weren't on site when the attack happened, then obviously they tracked the animal down after the fact.
  15. There's been definitive proof for a long, long time.
  16. What a gorgeous machine. What does it have for an inboard?
  17. Fantastic stuff, as usual. A couple of those specks must have been pushing the ten pound barrier?
  18. Now that's one for the mantle piece. Looks and sounds like a perfect trip. Looking for similar results this weekend, myself.
  19. Canada Day SLAY!! Very impressive average on the Seoul, as usual. I'm droolin over here.
  20. Transom mounts are fine for trolling, but for structure fishing can be a PITA, especially in a good wind. I would DEFINITELY consider investing in a wireless bowmount system.
  21. Tasty report. I know what you mean about simcoe perchin. Too much time spent weedin out the dinks. You gotta try the Nipissing perchin next winter!
  22. Those muskies are fatter than the carp! Great trophy fish!
  23. Is that an inside nickname, or do you not know they're yellow perch?

  25. Awesome report! You've got your electronics dialed in big time!
