  1. Great stuff, but how were you wearing a sweatshirt yesterday?
  2. Wow...all fantastic. That laker shot is my favourite!

  4. Give me a break. NFN, MNR, and the OFAH are ALL doing their fair share of finger-pointing, which is absolutely pathetic. There are so many factors that have led to the lakes depletion (read: Nipissing still has lots of walleye) that is absolutely childish to try and point the finger at any one cause.
  5. 4x4 atv (smallest you can get away with)...chains if you experience deep snow (rare on simcoe) and you're good to go!
  6. I like short Medium power, fast action rods (6'6" or shorter). I'd say the Fenwick Elitech rods are definitely the best blanks in their price range. I always pair it with a shimano sahara/saros, and use 8 lb braid. I love the ultra thin braid.
  7. You forgot the best part about having to paddle home thru a pop-up windstorm the same day you fried it.
  8. I hear they perk right back up in a frying pan full of hot butter.
  9. Ahh yes, the white grub...how I love thee, and that lake...
  10. That is one incredible canoe, sir. Awesome report. Never seen those coleman stoves before, but they look awesome!

  12. Awesome! those are some DEEP walters
  13. Awesome stuff. Some beauty summer lakers
  14. That whole album is the cats pajamas, but hell yeah this song rocks.
  15. There isn't...unless you have a tailgate.
  16. I agree! I work for a non-union automotive plant that is in-sequence with GM, and I can assure you my wages are lower than what most would call 'market standard' and their's are clearly higher. It's just frustrating to see where the term 'market standard' is heading in the western world, given that I'm at wits end trying to get into the industry I spent 2 years in college for.
  17. 90% of which are likely minimum wage jobs no good for anyone save high school students. I bet there's plenty of ex-union GM workers stocking shelves in there too. I know I've met a few. I'm no economist, but I can't fathom why GM needs public money for 'R & D' [lol!] after a record profit year. It's already painfully obviously that they have full intentions to cut wages and ruin the power of CAW, so why is there a need to throw millions of tax dollars towards the issue? We truly are governed by incompetent, corporate shills.
  18. Unless you prefer fishing with live bait... I grew up catching crayfish and using them as bait. Tubes obviously work excellent, but there's nothing like watching a monster smallie come up and grab the crayfish you caught yourself. I still enjoy doing it the odd time. Just hook once lightly thru the back...no weight...cast lightly

  20. Looks and sounds like a perfect trip
  21. Getting out deep will get you away from the fleas and the people! Good forecast...go for it! so much fun
  22. Absolutely brilliant song from a legend... <object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lk-zKjfO2E8?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lk-zKjfO2E8?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lk-zKjfO2E8?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
  23. From your choices I'd choose the 'bird for sure!, but for all the deepwater fishing, I'd seriously reccomend you upgrade to a slightly higher-end Lowrance.
  24. I didn't comment at first, and I really don't care, but it does stress the fish out big time to be dragging them around on a stringer, and IMO there's a good chance they didn't make it, even though they may have swam away healthy. Keep 'em next time
  25. My kinda country...no CMT pop around here <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcDFLfwGQGo?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcDFLfwGQGo?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcDFLfwGQGo?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
