  1. I think we've all met a few guys like this in our travels.
  2. Nice vertical hold.... haha! Those things are absolute brutes. good job
  3. Radiohead's most rockin' tune. <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yl-pXpXxK00?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yl-pXpXxK00?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yl-pXpXxK00?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
  4. Yup. There's a lot less legislation to work with these days. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/thunder-bay/story/2012/05/14/sudbury-moonias-cliffs-mine.html
  5. I haven't found any releases that hold braid well. I also haven't found a good reason to use braid when downrigging.
  6. I take my processed pork very seriously, I'll have you know. Klik and eggs is a godlike breakfast in the bush!
  7. Awesome report. Probably learned a whole lot about northern walleye fishing in those couple of hours eh!
  8. I suggest you try golf.
  9. Way to go! That must be close to covering the cost of fuelling the boat for those long days trolling.
  10. Nice shots. Pic 4 must be a 30# class fish? Most of the best east end fishing is over before the Sun Derby even starts LOL
  11. Man, there is some nasty slimy slop in that harbour. Good job on making the most of it
  12. <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuVtij67Wag?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuVtij67Wag?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuVtij67Wag?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
  13. Care to back that up with some facts? I was fined for not having my fishing license in possession once, for $120, definitely no more than 3 years ago, and would be shocked to learn that not owning a license entirely would be a smaller fine.
  14. Because the ducks were not stocked by the landowner...
  15. I hope your buddy didn't hulk smash that poor smallmouth lol! Good fishin boys.
  16. Yep. I usually run braid to steel when I'm specifically fishing esox. Pike DO.NOT.CARE.
  17. Not too big on that stuff, but major Racer X love here. Paul Gilbert was the boss on this album! <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq1UpKwU_o8?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq1UpKwU_o8?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq1UpKwU_o8?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
  18. I caught a 50" ski on my first ever official musky trip. I think I should stop before things get out of hand. Nice fish
  19. Unreal blue halos on that last fish. Picture doesn't do it justice. The net is 20" exlcuding the handle, and it barely fit.
  20. Over the past few weeks, I've been spending most of my fishing time probing likely waters for resident trout. Speckles being my primary target, I was surprised to find many new spots with healthy populations of resident brown and rainbow trout. It's been interesting to note how each species positions themselves in these tiny waters differently. Most fish have been taken on size 10 to 14 bead head nymphs fished under an indicator, but a few nice fish have come on small dries, which is something truly special. All fish released, all but one or two were hardly taken out of the water. Extremely fragile fish. Oh, and my 7 ft 3 weight Loomis/st. Croix combo is an absolute blast for fighting these strong fish. Pretty little guy taken on a dry from today My usual brookie spots are starting to really slow down, but some nice fish are still making it to the net. And my personal favourite...
  21. DARE you say epic? I think that trip qualifies. Ling are absolutely fantastic. I'd take them over a greaseball laker any day.
  22. Those little brownies are super fun to catch. Nice going!
  23. Awesome report!
  24. Absolutely godly song. From my favourite Rush album too. Perfect in every way
