  1. Most of this thread is unimpressive, offensive and a waste. forrest

  3. Hey good news! The lying cop that participated in the hoax was fired! Fired for lying? Yep, too bad it does not happen more in society. forrest
  4. All those them there fancy boats are pricey: Price range?
  5. Don't know if the boats any good. I do notice most people here have aluminum fishing boats that are not "bass boats" or jon boats. You will need a battery charger. A 2A trickle charge is no good for long hook ups, you will need a proper 1A, regulated trickle charger. 4 stroke is my choice. forrest
  6. You forgot to mention that a stove you do not use for cooking should be used.
  7. Check with your cities waste disposal facilities too.
  8. thanks guys!
  9. It is 1-2 years old. red plastic.
  10. Great document! Another real gem would be if someone posted the manuls that shipped with the units: The Minn Kota website rates about a 3 out of 10: -manual for my motor is not downloadable. -AMP rating/range for my motor is not downloadable. -easy side by side comparison of all the motors is not possible. -I actually have to do some digging to find the endura line (my motor). -Yeah I am complainng and whining, but, maybe someone else in charge of building some other website will not repeat Minn Kotas mistakes. forrest
  11. Never leaving the container in the garage....its a good safety tip but it is not becuase gas tanks vent on a regular basis. -Overfilling it is not the issue. -Leaving the vent screw open is a no go. Neither I or my neighbors like the smell of gas. -My Jerry can just seems to expand and sit -My car does not vent gas into the garage or outside. forrest
  12. I have a 6.5 gallon tank for my tiller. I noticed a build up of gas fumes in my garage so I started storing it outside. Later I noticed that when I filled it right up to the top some gas would leak out fromt he cap area. I keep the vent screw closed. Is this normal? What is the best way to remedy this? forrest
  13. Where does it say the watermelon was flown in? Maybe it was trucked in? Where do you think our fruit comes from? Usually its not from here and I have never paid even a fourth of what that watermelon cost. On top of that the importing of those types of food is subsidised so that people can actually afford nutritious food. $39? only the rich can afford that for a watermelon (not hte most nutritious of fruits) what about the rest of the people? forrest
  14. Dang, thats what I was going to say! I have had mine for 20+ years and it is still great....I guess that means its an antique. Daiwa must have improved with another model....but what? forrest
  15. It is a badly written article, the meat of the issue is at the end of it. The fruit imports are supposed to be subsidized. The government program is the problem. The subsidized price is $38. $38?! How the heck is $38 considered an affordable price for a watermelon? forrest
  16. Fill up at the same pum p you fill up your car with? -it wears out the older interal orings etc Another reason not to have it, it attracts water into your tank after a while. forrest
  17. Its a hoax. No body produced. Hoaky pictures. That thing has been sitting in a freezer for a few weeks. The guy who "found" it has a movie. The man is a liar. forrest
  18. Your lights are sealed, so are mine. However, if water gets in: kaploooey!
  19. (largest speed bump you can find) X3 - (the number of $100 bills in your pocket X 1 inch)
  20. 1) weight 2) warranty 3) 4 stroke 4) length 5) durability
  21. Maybe its "common knowledge" but a lot of people have gotten burned by not knowing or doing the basic things: -use rubber straps to hold your transom saver to the Lower Unit and the trailer. -tie the back of your boat down to the trailer with tie-downs -undo your trailer lights before putting the trailer in the water. -check your trailer wheels every few hundred miles. -I use the trailer winch hook and safty hook. does anyone tie-down the bow? forrest
  22. I do not leave home without it: 1) I need the clearance 2) My motor does not lock at full tilt 3) Th e motor does bounch a bit.....it does save the transom
  23. Berkly horizonal rod holders. 4 rods = $10 and 6 rods=$11 at Lebarons (actually the 4 rod set works out for 8 rods for me). My boat is different than yours but maybe you can adapt.......I based my setup on this site: http://www.correllconcepts.com/boat_conversion.htm forrest
  24. I have had them make thei r way from the garage to the inside of the house via the central vac! No worries for me though, it was winter and only a couple of almost dead straglers made it in.
