Jjcanoe, that's a good one. Although I don't get any calls like that on my cell, I'll definitely try that line if I'm at my parents. They seem to get bombarded with those calls. I don't have a house phone for that reason..... Makes me sick, those scum bags!

After reading the relevant posts, I'm sure we all know what we "want" to happen, in terms of Justice....... Unfortunately, either way it goes, I'll quote another member, in that, Justice seems impossible to get in cases like this... Rip to the kids, and their grampa..... A shame like no other....

Very interesting thread. Thanks for the heads up! -
I'm still using my C4 from the 80's. I just love the drag on those old puppies!! Especially when a 30 lb Chinook feels like taking you for a run or two!!.... Brian, if you're ever thinking of selling that C3 of yours..... Definitely PM me.

Drum roll please........ Annnnnnd?? How did it turn out Mike??? I read this thread, and am now waiting on the outcome. I have a 30 Johnson with the lower unit out and apart. Just wasn't sure I wanted to tackle the reassembly on my own.

Good topic as I've also been hearing this "cabin filter" grab. I had a friend call me and tell me that the dealer wanted to change her cabin air filter every oil change she went in for. Asked me if this was right. Two sides to this whole situation..... I'm a truck technician myself, and do a lot of AC repairs at my job. For the truckers who run solely highway miles (long haul), it can be compared to a cars cabin filter, in that, you probably won't find it too dirty on an annual check, BUT, the vocational guys (dump trucks, construction based work), I've seen guys come in, with almost zero air flow through their vents, complaining how their AC isn't working. Well, after a quick look, their cabin filters may have well been a piece of plywood. They become so plugged with the AC moisture, and constant dust from job sites. A new filter, and presto, ice cold AC once again. So, all in all, it really depends on the conditions you've been driving in. If you're a construction site super, using your own vehicle and frequenting these areas, yes, you'll probably need a filter more often than your buddy working downtown Bay and Bloor. Normal city driving habits, once a year should do ya. What I try and do myself, is if I'm going through dusty conditions, I'll throw my HVAC system on recirc air until I'm clear of that area. A tip for you smokers, DONT smoke with your car in recirc mode!!!! Or better yet, DONT SMOKE!!!! lol.

Always a treat landing a beauty like that! Well done. One thing though..... What's with the violet hue in the cheeks? -
A swarm of fireflies?....... Neat-O!

Great looking dogs bud!!! Never knew a full fish, fins and all, would be ok for a dog to swallow down..... Mine gets some from our fishing trips, but I just slice him a filet, minus the fins... Vertebrae intact though! I'm won't go to extreme lengths, and giving him a boneless/skinless filet! Screw that. Lol
-
I commend you as well!!! I was out at Balsam today as well, and I must say, there were some nice swells in the west bay today! Good for you, for staying on the dry side of the boat!! We faired well, with a couple of decent walleye, musky, and pike. The musky surely wasn't as impressive as yours, but 36" and acrobatic, made for a good fight.

Having a dog of my own, but by far not like any of yours Manitou..... I enjoyed reading this whole thread, and can appreciate both sides of the story, or opinions rather. My guy is a doodle himself being mixed with border collie, and he's afraid of his own shadow sometimes. So I just think it's kickass hearing about others that have "dogs with jobs", if you wanna call it that. If you could, I'd love to see some pics of these bad boys that keep your family safe.

I have that diagram..... I have no "issues" with anything. You're mixing me up with Sinker. I just want to reassemble a lower unit. No problem buddy. crap happens..... Lol

My dog likes to turn to me while, and after licking himself, with a face that screams, "yea, you know it! You only wish" Lol Good post!!

I've searched, but come up empty handed...... I just need to do a little more searching i bet!! I hear what you're saying, and appreciate the gesture. Thank you.

Who are you answering with that, Dave? Doesn't sound like it relates to my issue. Or could it be, I'm just not "catching your drift"..... Sorry if that's the case.

Yea slightly.... Lol no worries though. Looks like I may be learning a new trade. I'll just have to try and find alot more info regarding this rebuild. I just heard there was shimming involved, and measuring gear backlash, which I haven't done much of.
