  1. hey satan ,, one soul up for consideration. pike like that ,,where do i sign? damn, what a story told by your photos. great ride . thanks
  2. those great pic's are more reasons i gotta see that country first-hand . beautiful. thanks and look forward to seeing more
  3. finally ,the voice of reason! i've NEVER,, EVER had a bad experience at bass pro! 50 or 60 visits and stll regard bps as the best thing to happen to the GTA with regards to the outdoors sports . crappy tire,, walmart, come on! fishing depo, rude ,, lebarons, arrogance. can't touch their sales, and for me the staff is usually very willing to make an effort. never been to rainbow or natural, never had the need. just tired of the tread on BassPro.
  4. +9a great snack for a group of 4 guys .what a blast catching them!! jumbos should be in soon! cheers.
  5. was out today in the wind ,snow and early rain. a few boats further out reporting some huge jumbos,15's ,,heard .on shore we got a consistant bite of 8 to 10 in.males. took 20 home for supper .been a while for fresh perch!!
  6. what a beautiful night. so calm , my pressure dropped as i watched,, thanks limey. was that a mitchel 300 series reel i heard? best ,bullet proof, fish-tamer made. the 350 of fishing reels!
  7. ofcourse the 4 stroke out-shines the 2 stroke in some ways, given, but what about the workin' stiff who only gets the liberty to burn a couple of tanks of fuel a season in his 12 or 14 foot tinny cause summer is the busy time at work? fuel consumption? not an issue. that higher price tag is now a more difficult justification to a guy who can't get out fishin' as much as he'd like. lower the price and weight and i'll get on board ,, when and if my 2 stroke merc bites it.
  8. although it's not a square stern my sportspal came with a factory side-mount motor bracket . same deal foam seats with oars ,not paddles 'cause of the width .13 ft'r for $300. on a drive by sale.
  9. huge , check that license!
  10. got a '95 ,15 hp. merc 2 stroke and can't imagine goin' in a different direction. eaisier on and off the tinnie , starts easily after storage periods, trolls darn slow. without having the benefits of an electric motor onboard getting in and out of tight, quiet areas sometimes requires a lot of cut the motor and drift for stealth. a 2 stroke with less compression makes for an easy half-pull start to get you out of a tricky spot. pop the hood on a 4 stroke and find a quick fix while adrift,, yeah right.
  11. huge bronzies!! hats off guys.
  12. U and ME!! Lloyd works none stop to put you on fish. my first guide service was a testimonial of what a great guide should be. great time ! so much info given about what we were doin' and why. damn near froze that nov. but had an awesome day.
  13. the hevi shot 13 's are on for 5.99.
  14. sorry ,got it,, 2nd time at it. rem. heavy . can,t fire 3 1/2 in. dang, only 3 in. shells. heavies are on sale now at BPS. bring it on long beard. good luck to ya.
  15. imprinting these young chinooks at the mouth is brilliant . sorry to hear about the loss of a dedicated outdoors advocate.
  16. what shot are you usin'? great spread!
  17. i tried a spool a few years back but was disappointed because of very high memory , found it hard to work with, tie'n knots an' such. might be a different animal of late, don't know never went back.
  18. that's gospel right there, jocko. congrats on your pike southpaw!!
  19. honesty is still its weight .thanks for the chuckle
  20. nice markings on your pike. shame you didn't hit more of 'em. very wide canoe, who makes it? glass or kevlar?
  21. very jealous, gotta tell ya!! sucks not gettin any eaters under the 18in. what?? that dark laker is just amazing ,, colours are crazy. congrats on a great post.
  22. can't imagine headin' out with dual trailers of equipment just to survive. man that's some big cahonaes. just a great report . great photos of some solid lakers . love the bright yellow fins on a couple of those biggens. fantastic camp set-up .once in a life time experience for so many ,, thanks for the trip.
  23. i just don't get how this happens, that train of thought that makes these idiots think that raping a lake and tossing garbage on private or public land is a good weekend out !! ignorant,, uneducated or simply just don't give a rats behind?? none of which are acceptable. the lack of fear of being prosecuted do to insufficient policing doesn't help. those private land owners must be pissed 'cause nothin' came of it!!!
  24. nice haul, great day for you guys.
  25. always a pleasure talking to another hunter with his sights on the right targets. posts are always a good read.
