  1. Up here in Barrie there are more snowmobiles whipping past my house then cars Complete whiteout up here.
  2. All I have to do is look like an idiot to get tickets? lol I have a pic of myself when I was about 10... knee high socks, a half top, wrist bands holding 2 largemouth bass My gf blew a few of the pics up and put them all over my house for my 30th b-day last year...
  3. We used to catch hundreds of those little leopard frogs up on Buckhorn lake when I was a kid. I hated when my dad used them at bait, lol!!! I am also getting softer with age.. Hell I don't like when my dad keeps fish anymore.. If it were up to me, everything would be put back in the lake!
  4. Ah man that's awful!!! Hopefully the blindness is due to swelling and that will get better after time... My 2 kittens go in Monday morning for spay/neuter along with declawing.. They'll be there 3 nights..
  5. Awesome report!!! You should have talked to him like a 5 year old, kinda like he does with every single guest he has on his show. That drives me crazy!!!
  6. Dropped off at BPS today and picked up some stuff. To bad they were out of the Bluefox muskie buzzbait I was after (go figure). I did however pick up some nice plastics.. I asked a guy in a pro shirt a question about a swimbait I was looking at, and he walked me around the plastics and showed me exactly what I needed to match up what was already in my basket. Real nice guy, didn't seem to mind my newbie questions (I'm not much of a plastics guy, I rarely jig, but am making a point of jigging this year for smallmouth and pickeral)
  7. Very nice!!! I hope this weather breaks so I can get some urban pike fishing in before the 31st.
  8. Frig, I am way to slow on this, lol...
  9. Email sent. I cannot wait to try the K-9 for the pike opener in May!! Thanks again Ryan!
  10. My dad used to bring 'beer balls' when we'd go to the park. 2-3 gallons of Old Mill never hurt anyone The only thing we ever caught in Opeongo was Lake trout (This was 15+ years ago), we'd spend most of our day fishing the little river off Annie's Bay for brookies. The island we always stayed on was just outside of Annie's Bay. It was extremely small, not even an acre in size...
  11. I am sick of playing with my Ariens snowblower, I'd rather be playing with my fishing rod!!! +1 for Barrie not being on that list
  12. I don't think you can beat places like Six Foot Bay on Buckhorn Lake.. All kinds of stuff for the kids to do, close to town, etc etc.
  13. We used to camp out on an island on Lake Opeongo when I was a kid. Had a moose and her calf swim over to the island one night. That was a sight to see!
  14. In order to enter, you should have to take a pic of the fish, with your forum username and a peice of paper the time/date Anyone could make up measurements if they want. I am sure there are a few people on that list that just wanted to see their name on the internet, lol!
  15. Thanks for reminding me to pick up some Gulp baits!!! The look on that boxers face is priceless.
  16. I use a bass rig with 20lb braid and a decent leader. Shimano Citica 100DSV and a Clarus 7' MH rod. Had no issues with the fish in my avatar (25lb range)
  17. Seeing that pickeral fishing out on Erie is a bit different then anywhere else, I would name the boat. 10 Miles Out.
  18. Ouch! You didn't have a pair of needle nose pliers handy? You could have taken care of that tooth on the lake!
  19. Thanks Irish, it's actually right on my way home from work
  20. Rod, you rock man! That will do the trick nicely. My poor dad with all these electronics in front of him, it's going to be priceless!!!
  21. I think I'll be hitting Sparrow lake with the oldman for opening of pickeral. My oldman and I hit Hay Bay a few times when I was younger, and saw 60+ fish days.... Nothing huge (4-5lbs the biggest) but it was non-stop action.
  22. I'm thinking Moon River, Byng inlet or 12 Mile Bay for opening day... Unless some of the Georgian Bay pro's can tell me somewhere else I should be concentrating my efforts.. I'm really thinking of selling my oldmans Humminbird 747c I picked up for him last year and get a model that does chartplotting + sonar (595c, 757c etc) Would make running out and around the bay quite a bit less stressful.
