  1. I think the best part is his buddies laughing at him.. How did he NOT see that tree? lol
  2. I am sure I bumped into a whole wackload of OFC'ers but I really don't know anyone Not many deals to be had on tackle, atleast from what I saw. Rod/reels on the other hand had some nice prices, along with the $20-40 markdown at RadioWorld off their web prices.. I was about to pick up a Intellimap 500C but I want to make sure the maps of GB from Navionics are going to be worth it... Decent price to, $279... I completely forgot to pick up some terminal tackle!! I had 2 buddies with me that aren't hardcore fishermen so I felt kinda bad by taking my time.. If anyone happens to pick up some flourocarbon leaders for muskie, let me know and I'll grab them off you. Lew, did they have any Salmo TT at the show? I've heard (I think from you) that it's pretty much the best.
  3. There is a 9min vid on Youtube also of the same run. Although one of the threee has his engine blow and ends up in the drink Helicopter picks him up
  4. I picked up a 8' Compre at the show today from Grimsby tackle for $149 tax in. Looks really pretty underneath my Abu Garcia Record. I cannot WAIT to get this on the water!
  5. That was also filmed from Midland to Pine Island (Georgian Bay)
  6. Even though this isn't the brighest thing to do, it's still badass in my books...
  7. For the guys heading out tomorrow, where are you planning on parking?
  8. Thinking about a transducer upgrade my for dad's 747c. Wondering if the Quadrabeam transducer is as helpful as I think it might be. Currently on the boat is the 83/200hz beams which is really nice. My dad and I do quite a bit of shore busting and the side view would really help with those sneaky bass underneath the docks/boat houses. Anyone have anything good or bad to say? Transducers are pretty cheap, around $70US or so...
  9. Wow, anytime I hook into something bigger then 4lbs, all I hear is "Freebird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd
  10. I think as long as our local shows don't start strapping on shin pads and smashing themselves against trailer hitches we'll all be ok
  11. Add me to the list of fans Al Linders Angling Edge is awesome to, reminds me of the old In-Fisherman.. Almost 100% completely informative, no shoving this company or that company down your throat.. It's nice to see all the guys I used to watch as a kid still on the show to.. The only thing I would change about the Angling Edge is the tad bit of religion Al likes to throw in there once in a while, but hey that show can't be 100% perfect Hopefully my 2 year subscription to The Musky Hunter magazine gets here soon!!
  12. What do people expect when 80% of all the call centers are located in either Quebec of India? Outsourcing is definitely cheaper for a company, but the QOS has gone downhill considerably.
  13. Never had my card declined at the till and that's exactly what is on the back of mine I think about 10% of the people working the registers even pay attention anymore.

I was on business in Manhattan and had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton.. Here is a pic of the WTC from my room on the 45th floor.
  15. Everyone needs a "Hello my name is ______________" sticker
  16. I have 2 Quantum 'Rippin Reels' that we've had forever. I used them until the start of last year when I upgraded to a new Shimano Citica. Besides loose handles, they are in perfect shape. I think I am going to pick up another rod and use the spare Quantum also. Having 3 baitcast setups in your arsenal is good right?

    Weagle

Be careful, someone might use the same lure and catch all the fish in the lake...
  18. Sounds like my game plan, I'll be there on Wednesday also. Lew, can you barter with the vendors much? I was looking into a 8' Shimano Compre for my muskie rod, but if I can save some $$$ on something better perhaps a St.Croix Avid?
  19. My oldman has a really nice old Mitchell reel that's been solid ever since the day he bought it. He's had it ever since I can remember, atleast 15-20 years.
  20. My partner in crime with a nice French River smallmouth.

Obviously I haven't I am going to try some TopRaiders along with a few of the monster Zara Spooks.. Should be decent early in the season when the fish are still somewhat shallow.
  22. I was born in St.Catharines, lived there for 26 years. My parents have pictures of the '77 storm, massive amounts of snow. We got atleast 2ft up here in Barrie with drifts well over 4ft. The plow left a 5ft wall at the end of my driveway lastnight, lol.
  23. From what I've read, most people use the MapCreate software to load road maps/POI's into the H20C unit.
