  1. I don't think 2 weeks is going to be long enough, I'd add an extra week atleast. You don't want to make this trip feel like one long car ride.
  2. Well thanks to Jose, I am a very proud owner of an extremely lightly used Shimano Calais 200.. 7 more bearings then my Citica, I think I am going to be really spoiled!!! lol .........and I also had to go to JB's and drop some more $$$ on a 7" Med St.Croix Avid casting rod I think I have a disease.
  3. Ouch John, that really sucks!!
  4. The carp have the HERP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. $5000 to ship a boat? You can get a car trucked cross country for under 2k.. Buying in the US is definitely the way to go, we saved over $12000 on my dads '07 2500HD Duramax... Just as many boat deals as there are car/truck deals. Although finding one a bit closer shouldn't be an issue.
  6. Mike has a point, I can cast with the best of them, but catch? Well that's a different story
  7. Did you see him AFTER that happened? If so, how did you not lose your mind and give him a beating?
  8. Get a good grip behind the fins and there is nothing to worry about. I hate holding pickerel, wrong word gill plates are like razors.. I'll take a catfish over one of those any day!
  9. I am proving the 10,000 cast theory true :)
  10. Sheesh, 20 fish an hour? I'd take that any day.. I would my our average (Dad and I) would be about 4 or so. It really depends on the conditions.. We went out last night to Gloucester for a few hours and hauled in 8 fish, and missed atleast that many in about 3 hrs, lol.
  11. I don't know of any Pri-i? lol that have had to have their batteries replaced yet...
  12. Thanks man! I don't mind spending the $$$$ on a reel as long as I know it's going to hold up well, with regular maintenance.. My Citica is great and it's not on the high end of Shimano's scale, but with the amount of fishing I've done this year, I'd really like something better. I think I might pull the trigger on a Chronarch, now just to decide between the B and the MG
  13. Mike, you like the MG over the standard Chronarch? Did you get a chance to compare the two?
  14. Nice bucket!!!!!!
  15. 1. It's relaxing.. 2. It's time well spent with my oldman
  16. Hutch, no chance of installing it yourself? It's not very complicated!
  17. Duty, + the $5 brokerage fee to Canada Post. I wouldn't complain much about $12... You are lucky it wasn't shipped UPS.
  18. I'm looking for low profile reels, I already have a Abu Garcia Record 60 and a Okuma Induron 400 for muskie duty
  19. I was actually looking at a Chronarch B. The Calias is a bit out of my price range I'll have the check out the Abu's and the Daiwa's also.
  20. My oldman wants to try out a baitcaster, so I think I might give him my year old Citica 100DSV and buy myself an upgrade I've been looking at the Curado, but I don't want to wait for the new "E" '09 model. I am not stuck on Shimano, although I haven't had any complaints with them in the past. My one muskie reel is an Abu Garcia Record, and it's put up with chucking huge baits all day without even a hint of a problem.. I'm not hard on my equipment, but I should be over 100 days on the water this season, so I need something that is going to stand up.. This will primarily used for bass fishing, topwaters, jerks, cranks etc...
  21. Sorry bud, I atleast got 2 letters right!!!
  22. So Mike, when are we going to put a hurtin on some GBay 'skis?
  23. You believe Fox news? The only thing I can see even involves water is what Roy mentioned on the first page. Water injection to decrease intake temps and increase HP... Don't you think if this were actually true, people would have been doing it years ago?
  24. I have some snake oil that will get your 100MPG!!!! Send Wester Union money orders to...........................
  25. Good job bud!!!!!!!! Looks like trolling was the key
