  1. Hit a local stream again this morning with pretty good results.. 2-3 brookies and a crapload of small bows (8inch was about the biggest) I did however spot a monster (to me anyhow, lol) It was a good 2lb fish. It took a bit of interest in my Mepps #0 silver spinner but never made a swipe at it. Same thing went with some of the bigger brook trout I spotted. Lots of interest but no hits. Should I try slow drifting worms or roe perhaps? I would think a worm, small hook and no weight would be a pretty natural presentation.. No way I'd ever get a flyrod in there, the banks are just way to overgrown... To bad I forgot the damn camera, some of those brookies had some amazing colours to them!
  2. Scott, you broke the internet
  3. I thought the same thing.. "I thought I didn't win?" Girls + bikinis + fish = win. No complaints from me.
  4. Got mine in the mail lastnight I'll be making use of them this weekend
  5. Simple. Go to the MTO and pick one up They can write you a new ownership and give you plates.
  6. I think he is saying that the bass population has exploded and perhaps having the season open a few weeks earlier isn't going to have an impact. I tend to agree. Is there anywhere in Ontario that the smallmouth bass population is actually suffering?
  7. Agreed. We had a real hardtime keeping the smallmouths off our muskie lures last weekend on the French.. Stayed away from the rocks as much as we could and fished whatever weeds we could find. Smallmouth bass were smashing everything!
  8. I went out to a spot lastnight and was nailing all kinds of fish on a #0 silver Vibrax. I also switched over to 4lb Sensation, so who knows if that made a difference.. I kick myself though because on the way back to the car, I stopped at the last pool. Me being a dummy walks right up to the bank, makes a cast etc etc etc. I seee a big black shadow dart from under a mid stream log and hide inside a beaver damn. ticked me off because I should have taken my own advice and walked around the pool and fished it from the rear... Biggest fish of the night was about 7-8inches or so.. Lots of small rainbows, actually only 2 brookies.

    JOBS

I work for one of Manhattans big 3. Site lead for a group of 20+ people that monitor/support their entire production infrastructure world wide.
  10. #1 and #0 Mepps Algias and BlueFox vibrax in both gold and silver. Half a dew worm and a small split shot. Pretty much all you'll need. You'll also want to make sure you are running some low lb test line (I run 4lb).. Make sure you aren't smashing through the bush like a bear, you gotta sneak up to the pools nice a quietly.. Also, fish up river if possible , not down less chance of spooking the fish. I have also been told to swap out the treble hooks for a single to get into the wood where the bigguns live
  11. I thought I saw a post from him not to long ago. I'd wait it out for a bit, I'm sure there is a good reason why he hasn't replied. Also, you need to update your sig!
  12. Albino Leopard gecko for me
  13. Black and white pics are great! I wish I could get my gf out fishing with me
  14. You just wait, I will curse your boat soon enough!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
  15. People have done it many times I remember a story someone told not to long ago about catching a muskie or something similar in their flooded backyard, lol
  16. Sinker, I appreciate the offer I will definitely be taking you up on it
  17. I think you'll really need to key in on new weed growth. I just got back from 3 days on the French (Main Channel, Dry Pine Bay, etc) without even a follow. The high water levels and weather has really stunted the weed growth this year. Hopefully, by the time you get out there things are a little more inline with what they should be.
  18. I didn't think the fish'n'chip was offered to Canadian customers, only the US. I also bought a Gold+ map, would be nice to get something a bit extra
  19. You can't beat the lower Niagara, such a mixed bag.. While out Lake Trout fishing at the mouth one night after school, my oldman and I snagged a sturgeon trolling in about 90ft of water.. Thought it was a snag at first, but it just took off like a bat out of hell. Fought it for a good 2hrs, even had a bunch of boats around watching the action.. It was a good 12ft fish, I couldn't believe the size of it.. Pulled it up boatside and one quick rip of the rod and the shadrap was gone from it's tail... I really miss it down there, perhaps while we are at a wedding in Sept, we'll sneak out for a few hours
  20. I like the Zara Spook Jr's for both bass and pike, don't forget some spinnerbaits while you're at it The Spook Jr's have internal rattles, one thing the normal size lacks.
  21. I like fishing with the oldman, he's always my partner. It's nice to sneak down a river or take the boat out by myself once in a while, but I like the share the fun times and memories with the old man.
  22. You can buy the self divorce kits at Staples or Office Place... $30 or so.
  23. Doctrt: That's why you should park the truck against the trees, away from the ramp at the Maclean Lake launch. You should see some of the people that 'try' and launch a boat there, it's horrific.
