  1. Oh man, do I ever feel stupid now...
  2. I'd love to hit a few places after work. Any places better then others? Or pretty much any river mouth should do.
  3. Wallyboss: That is a great idea.. Maybe I am causing half the problems by forcing the head through the tube after I stick the hook through... I'll have to give that a shot! Even a piece of thin safety wire would work me thinks.
  4. Been fishing with tube jigs the past couple of outings for smallmouth and having an absolute blast. Problem is, I get some small fish like rock bass, etc that grab the jig and end up tearing the plastic near the jig head. Once the tear gets big enough, the eye of the hook will just slide down the plastic anytime it comes into contact with something. I reel in and am left with a tube, half off the hook I usually turn the jig around and start fresh on the other side, but this only lasts so long.. Is this just how tube fishing goes? or are there a few things I can try to make the tubes last a little longer?
  5. Ugh, I would love to get out and throw some cleo's for Kings. Moving away from St.Catharines definitely had its disadvantages....
  6. The only time my gf would ever go out on the water with me is to sun tan Awesome report and a kickass b-day present!!!
  7. Awww geez,.. My condolences to his family and friends.
  8. Kid, everyone knows that paying off as much as the principle as possible is the way to go. Why do you think I have a mortgage at X.XX% and make payments on a higher rate? Where do you think that extra $$$ goes over and above my standard payment? On the principle? You betcha..... My mortgage doesn't get 're-worked' without my signature btw I hope everything works out for your parents... Also why would anyone on this board blatently lie to you about this? You should know better then that.
  9. They are saving your parents tonnes of money per payment, have your parents noticed the extra payment per month they are making?
  10. Where else can I get a job that requires me to pay to participate. Do you enjoy paying commissions to the people that recruited you? How many peolpe have you recruited in order to get paid? And you say you aren't a sales rep..... riiiiiiiiiiiiiight If anyone is stupid enough to believe this is anything other then a 'legal' pyramid scheme they need their head examined. Sign me up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Awesome fish lew!!! Glad to hear the wife and the daughter are doing well, that's great news!!!
  12. I hoped you tried to atleast kill a few of them with the boat.
  13. Muskie's on the Shield? Awesome book, I've read it about 5 times, lol
  14. That doesn't even look like a fresh water fish.
  15. Looks like GBay has been paying off for a few guys! Nice fish John!
  16. Wow, that thing is a hog!! I think my oldman might try out Sparrow soon, never fished it before but we always enjoy trying new water. Plus it being just up the road helps a bunch to!
  17. Flukes eh? I think I need to pick a few of those up for this weekend. Great report Garry!
  18. I think we are talking about the Little Lake right besides the 400 and across from RVH, not the lake attached to Gloucester Pool
  19. Mike, way to go man!!!!!!!!!!!!! That thing is a monster!!! Holy !!!!!!!!! We really need to go out now :) What did it end up hitting, big blade? I can't imagine the strike that thing must have made, especially casting.. I am surprised it didn't rip your arms off, lol!!!
  20. We've always traveled with the motor fully down. I guess it depends on the boat though (15' Legend with a 40HP 4stroke Honda). Always used tiedowns in the rear and never unhooked the lights when putting the boat in the water. Never had issues with the lights.... Always used bearing buddies and my dad keeps up on the grease jobs
  21. That was an awesome report!! Really puts my crappy ones into perspective :) Anytime I travel over the French on the 69 I get a huge smile and feel like a kid again!
  22. Finally.
  23. Nice fish!!!!!!!!!! Looks like a great night also (no wind, lol)
  24. Lots of nice smallmouth in the lower French. Our ticket last fall was topwater, I am sure they'll be packing on weight soon enough and should be on the feed. Any small point usually held a fish, look for the rock/weed transitions and you'll be sure to find them. There are some big pike and huge muskie in there as well. No luck on the muskie, but we did get a pike in the 20lb range last fall along with 50-60 smaller ones in 3 days. The pickerel bite is usually good also, warm harnesses or perhaps slow death might be a good idea (We rarely focus on pickerel) Good luck!
  25. How are these guys Canadian?
