  1. carp-starter: The battery compartment is securely sealed with screw-in fastener-sealers. I found this while searching google.. There is no indication of fasteners anywhere?
  2. STOP ASKING FOR MY SECRET FISHING SPOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Jesus, some of you guys have your panties on WAY TO TIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Relax ladies.
  4. Depends on the vehicle. Anything that allows the engine to 'breath' a little better will free up some mpg's.. A lot of stock intake systems are quite restrictive.. Personally I stick to OEM filters (especially in my diesel) My only gripe is that diesel is about $1.40 right now, although I can't complain to much about getting 1200km's per tank.
  5. I think I might pick up one of those $15 rainsuits.
  6. I didn't think he asked for your 'secret spots'... What is the harm in telling him 'Yeah, I was up at lake X last week, caught some nice pickerel in about 4ft of water using a white twister tail' Simple way of providing the guy with a little help without divulging your honey holes. BTW, your secret spots are most likely alot of other people's secret spots
  7. That is horrible.. Now the question: What the hell passed by that swamped a 19ft center console?
  8. I'll let you know once I get back from the June 7th muskie opener on the French Lew, where about's do you plan on hitting it?
  9. This is what I got from another fishing forum.. Personally, I don't see the added value.
  10. GCD good job man!!!!!!!!!! One thing I would do it sharpen up the barb that holds the plastics on... I always find that they slide off the jig way to easily.
  11. Sounds like you and me are in the same boat. Although, when we get out this year, we'll surely look like we know what we are doing!!! (Based upon the amount of tackle and rods we'll both have, lol)
  12. Hey Mike, I've noticed a few WTD baits have 3 trebles compared to 2 on the Spook. I need all the help I can get Off to JB's I go again! You guys ever add a twister tail to the last hook on a topwater? I am assuming every little bit helps.
  13. Hrm, I wonder how thos DOC's compare in weight to the Magnum Zara's.. They are pretty heavy and also have rattles. I'll drop by JB's and check them out. With this colder weather, I have a feeling 'slow' is going to be a key word for the June 7th opener.. You think the top water bite is going to be tough if the water temps are a bit cooler then usual?
  14. Playoff hockey, I guess you've never seen it before? The Pens could only dream that they had someone like Roberts on the bench, I still curse Toronto for trading him.
  15. Lew, you reminded me that I need to pick up some more lures Jointed Believers are on the list.. I also picked up a TopRaider along with some Magnum Zara Spooks.. What are these DOC's you are talking about? Another WTD type lure?
  16. Hit Twelve Mile Bay on Sat hoping to get out into the Bay and up towards Massassauga. Well that didn't happen because of course, it's gotta be windy as hell. So we ended up fishing the eastern end of Twelve Mile Bay with zero results.. Had a follow from a big pike near the end of the bay but that was about it.. Called it quits at 12 and made a run to Severn River to finish off the day. First cast on the Severn landed me a small pike, maybe 3-4lbs.. That was about it for the day.. Sunday, got up and hit Gloucester for a try at crappies(First time fishing specifically for Crappie) That didn't work out either, one small perch for our efforts. I'm really sick of this crap weather, can we please have a week straight of warm weather? Pretty please with sugar on top? June 7th will not come soon enough!
  17. Just a sec, he had a heart attack, didn't die and they paid off his mortgage?
  18. It drives me crazy to keep anything like that on... Plastic covers on the rods, clear film on new electronics, the little push tabs on the McDonalds cup lids I think I am a bit of OCD with stuff like that.
  19. 8' muskie setup has 50lb PPro... 6'9 muskie jerkbait setup is running 50lb Spiderwire Ultracast.. Everyday m/h bass/pike baitcasting setup runs 20lb Spiderwire. Medium action spinning runs 6lb Fireline.
  20. haha!!! That is the first thing I do when I bring a new rod home, take off the plastic!!! lol
  21. Nice report!!! Although I think you forgot to take the plastic off your rod handle
  22. Most likely your GST and RIV fee's. If you haven't checked out RIV.ca, you probably should
  23. Berkley Sensation is another good mono you might wanna try.
