  1. I am hoping to get out on Little/Gloucester this weekend for the bass opener. I'll be throwing for muskie while the oldman wants to catch bass, lol. The weather for the most partt is going to be horrible, anyone else think that they'll be washing lures all day or is it just me? I don't mind fishing in the rain, but the thoughts of doing it all day without decent odds of catching fish makes it even worse
  2. Had a 4lb OOS smallmouth smash a TopRaider while fishing the French river during the muskie opener.
  3. When you are #1 at what you do, you can act any way you want.
  4. Lews got a stalker...............with a badge!!!!!!!!! :)
  5. A nice cheap DCG clone, I have 5 or 6 of them. http://www.tacklebooty.com/muskybucktail.html
  6. Can't forget a couple of Musky Innovation Bulldawgs Maybe some DCG's.
  7. I don't have any info about the St.Croix, but I have an XH 6'9" Shimano Compre jerkbait rod.. I could toss pounders with this thing with ease, it's got a lot of backbone... Rated for 3-8oz lures like the Avid/Premier is...
  8. If it runs for 5mins then stops, it sounds like it's simply running out of fuel. I'd check the float bowl and needle valve as mentioned above.. There can only be so much wrong with these suckers.
  9. The spooks are worth it The Jr's have internal rattles which the full sized ones don't. If you can get a your timing down on the WTD technique, not much can refuse them.
  10. Zara Spook Jr's. Easily the best topwater bait I've used. When most bass hit they won't make much commotion at all. They don't snap at baits and come out of the water like pike do. Bass, especially big ones will suck in the topwater lure like a giant vacuum. As mentioned before, don't strike on the hit, strike on the weight
  11. The only big change anyone is going to see is the amount of diesel offerings in passenger cars.. Electric is a wet dream. Bring on the oilburners!
  12. Looks like a clown design to me.
  13. I think you meant the Hamilton Skyway? I know in the latter fall months you can tie into salmon, trout etc...
  14. I'm jealous.... very jealous!!! Awesome fish lew!
  15. Welcome to the boards Ryan!! You can find a hydro map for Sparrow Lake on Anglers Atlas... www.anglersatlas.com You have to join up, but it's free. Good luck!
  16. Cold Cut Trio
  17. Was thinking possibly the Moon River Basin for some smallies and the chance at a monster ski Most likely will end up on Little Lake or Gloucester.
  18. Do us all a favour and toss her in the harbour.
  19. My oldman and I are running a pair of the Scotty quick release holders. So far so good.
  20. JB's spooled my Okuma Induron for nothing (I purchased the 50lb SpiderWire Ultracast). Didn't charge me for the 20lb mono backing or anything.. Great guys over there. Now if I could only christen the wrong word rod with a musky I'd be alot happier
  21. I knew there had to be a reason :)
  22. Anyone ever try leeches? They last so much longer then worms
  23. They really seemed to like the Blue Fox #0 Gold/Silver. I tried a 1/32 ounce Panther Martin with the fly on the hook and they weren't to interested. Haven't tried any of the Mepps black fury's I have, next time (maybe tomorrow morning, lol) I'll have to give that a shot.
  24. /takes notes.. Didn't even think about a small Rapala Thanks for the tips guys!
  25. Ah, I thought it was a bad idea to fish when the water was stained.. I guess I should give that a shot
