Hi Nancy, Your car takes a 195/65/15 winter tire (I have the same car), if you are looking for steel rims, let me know there is a local TDI forum I am a member of where you can pick some up for real cheap. I have been running the cheapy WinterMark's from Walmart for the last 3 seasons and have no complaints... The Nordics from Canadian Tire are also good. One thing to remember, the best all season doesn't even compare to the worst snow tires... Also, if you have any questions about your car, please feel free to ask, I'm a TDI nut

Holy crap!!!! Did Mr.Thorpe put him onto that fish?
-
Al, it is Luckily I never fish this stretch, so I'll cut my losses and not come back.. Although I did see a biggun dart out after my spinner but develop lockjaw soon after, lol. Water level is really low compared to the usual spots I fish, no great loss I guess.

Now that would rock!!! (Not like weekend commuter traffic needs to get any worse up here, lol)

Not worried about a ticket or repercussions My only complaint is that if you are going to leave something like this, you better have the proof or have the stones to sign your name to it. Perhaps, I'll write a little note on the back and leave it where my car was parked.
-
Hrm, I wonder if I could find a land survey for this area, that would clearly show if I was trespassing or not. I don't plan on going back, especially if me parking on the side of the road and him assuming I was trespassing (he obviously didn't see me on his property or in the creek itself) ticked him off enough to leave this note. If I do find out who owns it, you bet your ass I'll ask permission to fish it I should have assumed it was private property in the first place, so the blame lies on my shoulders. I am willing to bet this would be considered a navigatable waterway, especially during the spring run off. Perhaps if I jumped off the bridge, into the river with my waders this would make him a bit happier? lol There is no way me parking on the side of a public road would be trespassing, that would be the only proof he had, unless he actually saw me, which he didn't. Pinch: no fences, no nothing. Obviously if I saw a fence that would indicate it's private property. The land beside the creek was also not farmed or cultivated...
-
I read that in the Game and fish act. If he does (and I highly doubt it, as this is a pretty popular river) then his note was well warranted... I'm not worried about repercussions or anything like that, I'm just trying to figure out if I was in the wrong or not...

If I would have gotten out of the river and went on land, then yeah he has a very valid point. But I didn't... luckily enough for me the river was low and I could wade the entire thing, average depth maybe 6 inches, I only fished the pools obviously. I realize this ticket isn't valid with the MNR or anyone else and that the property owner made them up himself. I'm just trying to figure out if I did anything that would warrant something like this. I don't wanna go around pissing people off while I am trout fishing, lol.

Hoop nets don't... The MNR used them out on Little Lake and Gloucester Pool this spring to net muskies for the Lake Simcoe muskie rehabilitation project.. I was luckily enough to be able to volunteer for a day and search the nets No new muskies when I was out, but man there are some HUGE largemouth bass in Little lake, lol along with bike pike and nasty bowfins! They did get a 47" a few days later though in one of the same nets...

Decided to hit a local stream this morning and wash a few lures. Was out about 4 hrs or so and was greeted with this when I got back to the car... Here is where things get a bit blurry though... I didn't see any trespassing signs, nor did I walk across anyones property to get to the river. I parked besides a bridge(which the last time I recall was public property) donned my waders and started my trek up the river. Seeing that the Game and Fish act states that the property owner does not own the bed that the river flows over, how in anyway was I trespassing? I'm not here to start anything, and I won't be back to this spot, but I wanted to ask a few people that may have dealt with this before. I wish whoever left that note would have also left a number so I could have atleast called and apologized, but also stated why I thought I had every right to wade into that river and fish... Caught atleast 30 little bows and saw a couple of big ones, but boy were they spooky.

Whoops, I should have said MGD, not MDG... I guess I have had a few to many TenneseeGuy, no matter what the beer as long as it's cold I have nothing to complain about.. I am not to much of a beer snob.. Now Rye/Whiskey is a different story

My oldman has a 15" Legend widebody, 40HP 4-stroke Honda. No complaints about the boat at all. It's been great... We hit close to 50kph at WOT.

Hopefully there is something other then plywood under there. It won't last long if it gets wet... You'll need a piece of alum plate or something to tap into. If there is only wood, make sure to add some silicon to the screws when you put them in.. This helps with keeping the moisture out. -
I am sure there is a world record swimming around GBay somewhere

I'm drinking a few MDG cans that I picked up at Topps for $18 for a 30 pack. The beer prices up here suck.

-
Yup, replica mounts are the way to go. Let the big ones go to make more baby big ones
-
Nice fish! Did the bass make it back into the lake or onto the table?

Looks like fun! I was down in SW Florida in March and did quite a bit of fishing with my dad. Everything from ladyfish, to pomps, whitings, mackerels a few speckled trout (sea trout) and yes... even 1 salt water catfish, lol.... I also caught a bonnethead shark that went about 35inches or so.. It wasn't a very nice fish, lol.
-
I think what people are a bit upset about is that fact that you don't try to break off the fish once you have figured out it's been snagged. Everyone who river fishes has accidentally snagged a fish, no one can take the high road on that one. It just depends on what you do once you've snagged it that makes the difference.

Why should it be 50? If someone wants to work and is able to, I don't see the problem.

I can launch wacky rigged Senkos with 30lb Suffex and a Calais 200. Not really a flipping setup.. Mess with the VBS brakes on your Curado, you should be able to get it somewhat dialed in....
