Wow this is going to be a long winter. Wether or not this guy is doing something illegal is something for the MNR/OPP or whomever but saying that the cottager might come down there or whatever can get you in alot more trouble. No need for that stuff to be said. If the guy did something wrong then so be it, let the proper people fix it. Cottagers like to do stuff like this but stating that he is protecting his family might be the case and I as a parent feel for him but does not give a individual the right to take the law in their own hands which is what this cottager is doing. Ive ran into this before and most recently before I went on vacation. My daughter is 2 1/2 years old and we were out trying to catch panfish or rockbass on a small Kawartha lake. Mid week and one of these so called cottagers had something done almost exactly like this with even more rope. I never even flipped his area but was going by it with the trolling motor, not worth the aggrivation. As I roll by with my bassboat, he comes out with a mouth I have only seen on my Uncle who is infact a former sailor. Even throwing crap. When I cant ignore you I take other means of action. Dont forget that im about 280 and 6'4" but Im not going to beat the hell out of him, whats my daughter going to think. I called the OPP and the Ministry. This clown was taking pictures of my boat with all the sponsors logos on it threatening he will ruin me, whatever this means. OPP and the MNR show up and to keep a long story short. The stuff is removed now. He has a few court cases to deal with and the only thing I asked that he do was tell my little girl sorry. Now my daughter has a memory of this for a lifetime. I had to explain to her that not all people are like this and that this guy has been having a bad year and decided to tak e it out on someone. I did not even have him charged the authorities did, they could not even handle this fool. That my friends is a disgrunteled human being that our world is full of. Im not defending fishermen, we have just as many morons with fast boats that ack like these cottagers but thats life. I agree with a parent wanting to protect his or her children but I cant take the law into my own hands and place a speed bump outside my house to make the cars slow down. If infact the guy has done a wrong doing he will have to correct it. I beleive he should be looked into because the biggest problem here is not the dock but that fact that if this is a government sign that has maybe been stolen, there maybe people fishing in a actuall sanctuary. If so, this is the reasoning for my thoughts that people need to think of the consaquences their actions have on other factors. Enough with the comments of who has the biggest weiner on the lake, were grown men here not children. Well most of us it seems. And before the comments come out, I infact also have a cottage on a small secluded lake up north and the cottagers all ack the same on this lake except me. Owning a cottage does not give you the right to do this. The lakes are for everyone to enjoy. You will find people disrespecting land or whatever all over this country, deal with it. Tell you what, here is a neat little trick. If these cottagers are infact leaving hooks behind, then tell you cottager friend to but high quality nylon rope. Wrap it entirely around the lenght of his dock under the water line maybe twice for good measure. You will then have easy viewing of the lures and anglers will learn. I have it done to mine and im an angler, for that very reason because some guys just dont care. Problem solved. to use the comments referring to whats going on in BC right now is very silly and not warrented. Because he has taken a picture does not mean that he will go and abduct his child, juvenille comment and you should know better to be honest.

Knowing this guy I can only assume its user error for sure. Call Lawren Wetzel @ radioworld or Jason Gilstrap from BBC boards. They will have you fixed in a jiffy. I have the same unit but have never managed to do that.

I still have no idea how these guys are allowed to run in that river like that. The lake, fine but I witnessed these idiots last year swamp a canoe without any regard for anyones life. I gave them a hand to get bac in but that river is very small in areas and these guys are side by side sometimes.

You need to read up closer to the reasons why the fishery is in peril. This is not due to over fishing by recreational fishery. Im currently fishing them right now. I do so each year. Im also fishing for Blue Sharks and unless you have valueble info to add dont comment on my post send it via pm. Every fishery has had its up and downs and cant be fixed over night. Im sure you like targeting Rainbows when they spawn, no comments made about that but thats how it is. Fishermen who recreational fish for these species probally put more back into the economy and resource then you can or ever will. Its not just about the fish but also about sustainability and balance which will in turn get fixed. Loo at the Atlantic Cod stocks. They are not depleated and beleiving the propaganda sturred up about fisheries, killing can usually be linked back to one source. Tree hugging un educated and very poorly informed people with a thought process that of a fool. Research David Suzuki and sea shepards recent fiascos and talk about that why dont you. I use Power Pro (Yellow) and color it with a black or brown marker. I usually do 3 colors for depth while im scoutin mat or slop to get that desired 2-3 fow under the junk. That way I get the productive spots n that spot. I love to use the hi Vis with floro leaders in clear water and I usually let the line sit crumpled up so to speak so I can see that subtle strike. Great technique in windy situations.

Ive been runnin the Opti oil since I got the motor with no issues. I have a ton of my friends that run the same stuff.

I know I drain my fuel out every spring with a pump system and I have a water seperator in-line. Including the one on my Merc Block. I have yet to have any seperation or water at all. I have a clear drainable filter and have yet to catch anything. Startron is awesome stuff. I use it in my truck, lawnmowers, weed eaters, etc. This stuff really works. Howver I have abondoned the use of 87 Octane. Mid grade or Super for certain stuff. Mid for the boat.

Startron, sold at Canadian Tire stres is the better one out of the three. Bob is sponsored by them so will say anything to sell it. Look at his facebook page, look at the Gas picture. Hmmmmm!!!!!! I had read all the studies and startron is the best and beleive it or not the cheaper one as well. Does both and even keeps the Ethanol from seperating from the fuel the best. Im using this and no longer using the 87 gas anymore, up to 15% Ethanol, Mercs like the Verado cant handle that and states that on their site and manuals.

There was a bunch of these made from different guys. Megabait being one of them. The difference is the quality. It will be fine for now but they tend to rust a lot quicken and fail. The fixed weight system is usually the way to go in this style. I have a picture of ones sawed in half somewhere. Far more inferior then others. Balance is very inconsistant in these products, you get a good and you dont. Steel in the rings that are fixed to attach the split rings on are very cheap and usually break down. You got a good one so keep it. I have tons of these things. Lol. The paint does not differ that much only in weight I find. Its like a ugly woman, makeup can do wonders.

This is a HMKL knockoff designed by the same guys who have designed the H2O baits and others. They also make a popper that same color pattern. This is why it resembles a Strike Pro. They are found in bulk at certain stores as well as your local Dollar stores and they are also found at canadian tire stores next to the Matzuo ones. These are all made in the same factory in China. I have a catalogue from them and that exact bait is there. This is the same place that Lunkerhunt from Ontario is made along with others.

I for one buy a ton of crap. I buy it and if I dont like it ,it goes. I usually buy everything at a good deal so I dont lose on anything. I have had some guys from this board see what it is that I have and they usually tell me I need to be committed. I could probally start a tackle store if I wanted. My stuff isnt stolen and is always either brand new or just about. I never just buy any one of anything. I have issues. I have a full email list that goes out usually before posting stuff that my stuff rarely makes it to the net anymore. This is usually the site I sell most of the stuff on and Kijiji and thats it usually now. Just because its cheap or new means nothing to me if Im buying. You can always tell if something is stolen anyways. I went to buy 7 reels recently from a guy and when I showed up. They were all new without boxes and papers etc. Usually means they were stolen. I declined to buy them.

I just did a massive reno on a store just down the street. Pro J tackle. They have worms and minnows. Sheppard and Warden 3467 Sheppard Avenue East to be exact. Should have went there first. Great hard to find stuff and I can assure you the regs are free. So is the free advice on fishing. Lol.
