  1. One week cottage rental with family on a small lake near North Bay. The rest will be spent fishing the world class waters of the Niagara region for salmon, trout, walleye, perch and bass.
  2. I've had good experiences with buying refurbs, probably a standard feature on most now but make sure ithas an HDMI hookup
  3. Very happy with Krown as well. Anonymous her good thing to do in conjunction with rust proofing, is to rinse vehicle as often as possible of salt/sand. Very handy to know someone who has a car wash bay in condo parking lot....

  11. Good stuff Steve, I always enjoy the different ways you achieve success on the water. No doubt in my mind, Lake Ontario has the best and least utilized lake trout fishing in the province as far as numbers and average size goes.

  13. Best way to shorten the learning curve is to hire a charter and get some hands on experience. Cheaper alternative, make friends with other recreational experienced trollers, and get out as often as you can. Also read up as much as you can on other sites like Spoonpullers, Lake Ontario United, and Great Lakes Angler.
  14. I also agree on having 2 separate unit that use the same plugs and connections. Not as necessary for small inland lakes or smaller boats, but certainly is advantageous for big water.

Just a reminder that this Thursday March 26 the Strait line Anglers Club is hosting a Lake Ontario Fisheries Management Zone 20 unit public information session. 6:30 – 10:00 pm Town Hall (Council chambers), 160 Livingston Ave., Grimsby This event is free and all are encouraged to attend. In addition as well we will have a special guest - Brian Locke the Lake Erie Manager (FMZ19) on hand to answer questions about Lake Erie fisheries.   21. Never have had any issues at all with braid backing... For leadcore or copper... I only use mono backing for my 2 color core setups, everything else gets braid
