  1. Good stuff Steve, I always enjoy the different ways you achieve success on the water. No doubt in my mind, Lake Ontario has the best and least utilized lake trout fishing in the province as far as numbers and average size goes.
  2. Agreed. I love Church TX6 mini boards
  3. Best way to shorten the learning curve is to hire a charter and get some hands on experience. Cheaper alternative, make friends with other recreational experienced trollers, and get out as often as you can. Also read up as much as you can on other sites like Spoonpullers, Lake Ontario United, and Great Lakes Angler.
  4. I also agree on having 2 separate unit that use the same plugs and connections. Not as necessary for small inland lakes or smaller boats, but certainly is advantageous for big water.
  5. Yes docks are in at the ramp at Dalhousie The 40th Annual Spring Salmon Derby begins in 2 weeks too!

  20. Not knocking Garmin sonars but if you wanted a more $$ unit then Lowrance, I'd consider Simrad or Raymarine. I'd still go for lowrance as many guys have them and parts and tech help is pretty good here in Ontario
