anyone tried this out? My ropes pooched but ive never really messed around with paracord. i figure i could switch it out each year if it starts to wear down? Im considering making my own G force handle at some point using a lawn mower replacement handle and Dog tie coated cable. Lil DYI project.,

Also everyone crying so much about kadri being a rat...ive never been much of a kadri fan, but why in the hell does wingles get a green light to throw an elbow to the head while kadri is despicable? Who is worse here, a guy that throws an elbow at mitch marner's head for no reason, or the guy that comes flying in to defend his teammate? I see exactly where kadri is coming from...if Mitch marner is my teammate and I see someone throw an elbow to his head while hes already being crushed by chara...im breaking that guys friggin jaw...thats just how its gotta be.

thats honestly the plan once my warranty is up...bypassing absolutely everything. Especially with the massive EGR issues these trucks have filling the engines up with soot. Might be a little too big of a job for me to swap the ECU...might have to find a shop willing to do it. they aint cheap to do properly though! probable close to 3 grand! Whole new ECU with a straight pipe exhaust. Everything else gets deleted and plugged.

There is one bright side to all of this. If pickerel and pike season and then bass season are all closed for x period...and then the natural cycle is pushed way back because there is still friggin ice on the lakes...we are in for a ripper of a spring fishing season. We are pushing 3 weeks to a month behind. Unless it gets really really hot really really fast, we are going to be fishing fish that have barely spawned yet/will be insanely ravenous post spawn. This is especially true with the Bass opener being at its absolute maximum earliest point in the month. Last year the day before bass opener we were seeing bass still up on the beds, but the day got really hot and by the next day they had all but vanished. Im thinking much of the same this year...time will tell. The Browns are basically just starting up on the south end of lake Ontario and its almost May!

Im pretty sure you are bang on...good luck convincing the mechanics at the stealership though. they say that they have checked over the system and cant find anything. Funny the problem started after my EGR entirely failed after 30,000km Dodge Quality lol

Panoptix is a total game changer...but is also $2,000 for a base model unit. Big difference between a Helix 5/7 si and a panoptix system. I literally think panoptix is even more valuable for ice fishing...its absolutely insane.

not much to be said...my cousin is a billet family for players on the Flin Flon Bombers in the SJHL, the relationship that he builds with the kids is incredible...this tragedy is just devastating far too many people. So very very sad.

Id drop shot a worm with a 24 inch lead...that way you can use a heavier weight in the current if you are having a hard time getting down, but not spook the hell outta the eyes. Maybe its just me but ive always done better with eyes on worms in the spring and minnows in the fall...maybe its just me?!

im sure I am just repeating what everyone else said...I never cared much for si until I really thought about it and started using it.... Traditional sonar and down imaging allows you to see whats going on under your boat...the odd time, ya you may see a fish suspended, but what you are really trying to figure out is what the heck is going on down there....with si you drive down the lake and all of a sudden you can say wow, there is a weed edge 70 feet to the right of the boat...or hey there is a pile of rubble 80 feet to the left of the boat. I think to all of the times that I have been driving down the lake using 2d sonar and i notice some crazy feature or drop off and decide that its probably worth fishing that pile of boulders...and sure enough catch fish...imagine being able to scan 200 feet of the lake all at once. I also totally disagree with sterling...deep water is when Si really shines IMO. cruising along the lake in 30 fow you will see everything around you. I guess "deep" is a relative term, its not going to help you in 200 fow for salmon IMO its totally worth it. Edit...dont overlook down imaging either...This fall I was driving along and notice a pile of what looked to be just garbage/weeds on the bottom in 20 fow, pretty much just a clump of whatever...Ya ok it may be fish? flip to d.i. sure enough there are 20 perfect siloutes of individual perch with a big hook below them, drop shot down...this guy comes up Like most things, its all about how comfortable you get with them. A lot like baits...if you feel good about what you are doing it will work for you. If you are wary of the technology you probably wont use it. My dad has an si unit...he literally had the DI screens shut off because according to him "they are useless" lol
