  1. Well it's certainly unique....maybe a good one for the Nascar crowd..certainly catches fish
  2. Dang that is one fast crankbait....I can't even see it! Oh wait.... there it is. Good thing for the edit button
  3. Nope, I wasn't there....but would have been nice to try it out. Fun little lake for sure....too bad they kick you out in the evenings....would be a great spot to hit after work if you could stay later and make the drive worthwhile.
  4. Motors weren't allowed...just that guys bring their bass boats and fish with the trolling motor
  5. Look for submerged trees....like the ones in Stoty's post Where were those again, Stoty?
  6. The person they refer to in the second article, Guha, is a 5 minute walk across the road from where this happened. He has a number of large cats, and one escaped in the last couple of years and was shot. From what I understand he has a fairly good reputation for caring for these cats, but, there's no way this isn't going to look like one of his got out. He says he would never declaw a cat....but could he have taken one in as a rescue/adoption? Or maybe the cat was in the area simply because of the other ones he has on his property. Interesting story, and I'm curious to know what comes of it. My parents are 14kms away, by road, from where this happened. Many years ago their neighbours claimed to have witnessed a cougar drop out of a tree onto a pair of racoons on their porch.
  7. Great work on the muskies Looks like a fun time had by all
  8. That is some fiiiiiine bass action! Nicely done boys That lodge looks like a great little spot too....would you go back?
  9. NICE!!! Kid's gonna be braggin' on that one all summer.....and so he should
  10. Congrats!! Got any pics?
  11. Oooohhhh....that is a heartbreaker....gonnna haunt your dreams for a while bud. Just go back and get'er
  12. Second cast with mine and I got into a lengthy battle which left me with a sore arm and snapped my 65lb braid. Those things sink a little faster than I thought. Gonna estimate it was at least a 10...no 20 foot log that I was lifting off bottom.
  13. Nothin to be critical of....at least you got away for a week and had some fun.
  14. Sobering read indeed. Thanks for posting that/
  15. Beautiful laker.....nice action on the screen...and the shot with your dog is priceless. He's like "He's doin the doggy paddle. Which I invented. True story"
  16. VERY nice fish there man....well done!
  17. Well, I've used the frog on two different occasions this year, once with my cousin, and once by myself. The first day, I had a Booyeah Padchrasher, and I don't think a single fish came unhooked. 4 or 5 fish....long casts, fairly heavy cover. I missed a couple, but don't believe I had ever hooked them. My cousin used a LiveTarget that day, and had 4 or 5 hookups, and did not land a single one. Every time, the lure came back with a good amount of weeds on the hook. The second day, on my own, I decided to give the LiveTarget some love....first fish absolutely inhaled it....wasn't getting off no matter what. 2nd fish was hooked, but then, into the weeds and I ended up with a clump of salad. Don't know if it's anything more than coincidence....certainly not a very scientific comparison, as my cousin and I were using different rods, line, etc. But the LiveTarget hooks are wider than the Booyeah..maybe by half an inch.
  18. Great camera angle....and it sure looks like they were taking it....wonder why they were coming undone? I was gonna say not enough leverage from the sitting position, but then you stood up, and obviously your results were the same. Frogs can be frustrating at times for sure.
  19. Cool looking old lure....from a quick google search it appears to be made by Bill Plummer Lures....post WWII...not necessarily a real rare lure. There is currently one on ebay....bidding start at $1...but the seller also has the name spelled wrong. Nice little find....I like old lures....my problem is that I always look at them and say "yeah, I could catch a fish on that" and either lose it or wreck it...just not one for putting things on shelves to look at I guess
  20. Sorry to hear you had a rough go....at least you were on the French though....definitely beautiful country
  21. face = palmed
