  1. I would try a bit of nail polish remover....I always steal some from the wife when I have to wipe adhesive off of stuff....like when you peel the sticker off a new tackle box tray and need to remove the evidence
  2. I and Cudz used Northern Bass....shipped via USPS...no tracking #. Ah well....not the first time I spent too much on a lure....won't be the last
  3. Concept is good....needs work, but it's a start. When it comes to fishing spots and maps, I think of Vince Lombardi saying to the effect of letting the other team have his playbook. He'll still beat them, because execution makes the difference. For one...you can plop lots of people down on a "hotspot" and they won't catch fish because they won't use the right technique. For two...the stereotypical "online angler" lives in "The City" and is either going to look for the closest spots to home, or is going to spend a day driving to some secret brookie hole listed online, only to find that the road GoogleMaps shows going in there is actually a snowmobile trail 5kms away from the lake. This will just be another tool in the endless search of where to fish next
  4. You made out like a bandit on the shipping costs......I am also in the mode along with Cudz....we got rocked. And yes...you need to keep perch bigger than 7" if you're really going to make the effort of cleaning a bunch of them worth while. I've seen people keep them literally 3 inches long....I have no clue why....
  5. Sabiki fly fishing....I likes it!
  6. Awesome report....love the detail on cleaning it up too. Those cats heads are so big, I'm pretty sure you did well to get the amount of clean meat that you did. Enjoy!
  7. Love the video --- and man oh man did it ever look rough when you got back on the ice
  8. Great report Paul....paying attention to the water and "matching the hatch" paid off nicely!
  9. I love it! Nice find
  10. I can't believe the season is over (for me) and I only got out for lakers a couple of times. Made the push on Sunday to get on the ice before it's gone....hit up Vernon for a few hours and got nada....except my pal who had this ugly thing swim out of his hole: Could mark fish on the screen, but couldn't get them to move....so by noon I was packed up and headed to Rosseau...on my own by now as my pal had to leave. Couldn't QUITE get to my spot....but landed within a few feet of it....separated by an old pressure crack that was uncrossable. Settled for 45FOW and after a couple of hours and a few different lures, figured out how to make them chase a LimeyAngler special...got 2 small ones....but they put a huge grin on my face! Now the ice gear is put away and I don't mind See you on the softwater!!
  11. Nice work, Limey! That's as many trout as I've caught all season
  12. Very cool shots!!!
  13. Way to get around.....great pics
  14. I thought Obabika Lodge closed....or is that just the road going in? I remember a pretty fun drive in my new-to-me Neon with 17ft of Grumman strapped to the roof Man the rocks on that road were big!
  15. I ordered 4 lures from them Cudz....my shipping was $19.95. I'm splitting the purchase with someone else...so that helps....but the total price for 4 lures was $71. So we are at $17/lure, to your $22. Still hurts....but I definitely have an itchy trigger finger now
  16. Good stuff, mang! It sounds like mayyybe you are still missing the old fly-in gator trips....but you certainly made the most of your time this winter. And truly, you ARE the pike whisperer.....they seek you out and gnaw on your 'ducer!!!
  17. X2 + Drrrrooooooolllll
  18. Very nice stuff, Jay....looks like one of Sebile's spoons....meant to get me one of those this season....
  19. LOLOL -- I just happened to see it moments after you posted
  20. Well....if it was a 375lb walleye....ok....
  21. I was going to PM you the other day to see if all was well....noticed your absence Nice to see you've been making the most of your time....Jack is a hoot!
  22. Will bookmark it when I get home
  23. Yes!! I've been to WNR a couple of times...Ian is a fantastic host and I enjoyed great fishing both times. We targeted mostly pike, but ran into a few nice walleye and one monster that I never saw....either a big pike or muskie. We tried to put on lots of miles doing long runs at first, but when we finally took Ian's advice on where to fish, we got into them pretty good. ALSO.....pay attention to the rocks....they are NOT motor-friendly. If I had to pick one lure, it'd be a green/white spinnerbait.
  24. Great video! Almost equal parts hilarious monologue and vicious rock-out session
