proper repair is dismounting the tire and repair it with a plug/patch or mushroom plug from the inside of the tire so it can be inspected for internal damage and this repair also seals the injury and the tire's liner

What's it cost to replace the battery in a Toyoto Prius?
ecmilley replied to John Bacon's topic in General Discussion
the hybrid battery packs average 5000 bones, toyota warrants the battery for 10 years but that doesn't include damage due to deep cycling. diesel is a much better choice than a hybrid untill the technology improves -
found lures of course, car batterys and tires, but latly I have been looking for my dock which got washed out about 2 weeks ago

$430 fine while fishing on Scugog this weekend
ecmilley replied to Want's topic in General Discussion
thats a bit of a grey area in a boat you lose your drivers license for impaired in a boat, but you don't need a dl to operate a boat. my insurance company doesn't watch points but convictions, two convictions for the same offence in 3 years 10% increase 3 convictions they cancel policy's -
thanks for the awesome report. ned anyone to field test those rapalas on sturgeon lake

The flashlight you should have knowm better, but we have all done it, as for the ownership they may have been a little bit overkill, but try snowmobiling if you think the opp are tough on boaters, there is zero tolerance for Bull on a sled but there doing the Job that we asked them to do make it safe for us out there, I have some run in's with the opp on the lake and trails and there usually good people to deal with (even when I am getting a fine, usually for speeding) Just remember that they have been dealing with people all day that have been treating them like dirt with there attitude and behaviour a smile and being friendly go along way to getting through problems. -
My first car was a piece of poop 79 honda civic which i sold and bought an amazing piece of technology 1980 dodge aspen and don't think my taste in vehicles has gotten much better

Nice report Cliff as for the bass-pro guy he should have apoligized for hitting the boat, but in the excitement of the weekend with opener some tournys ect may have made him temporarily rude, I deal with all sorts of tourny boats on sturgeon lake all summer long and have never ever run into a rude pro on the water, (it happens i am sure but have never seen it) there always friendly and chatty. just look at the pros on this board always willing to answer Q's and chat, like slayingm, pete mania. dave mercer are just a few that come to mind

I used to laugh at Alberta walleye rules, not anymore

Most people that catch a bigger eye and keep it for the table are occasional fisherman can't really begrudge someone for keeping most likely there only fish all year, now those of us that have the skills and time to put into it know a 1 1/2 to 2 lber is best for tablefare but a limit of 1 fish in ontario is silly imo the current kawartha limit of 4 one over 18 will prove to be benificial in the futre -
Does higher gas prices = more fish taken out of our lakes?
ecmilley replied to bassfighter's topic in General Discussion
I live on a Kawartha lake and it doesn't appear that there is any less fishing pressure, lots of boats out fishing, I don't do creel census for anyone but i have a nice bag of fresh wally fillets out for dinner tonight. -
sea foam works very well for cleaning up carbon, dirt and varnishes, have used it to unstick rings, fix idling problems and any other carbon related issue's for the price it's worth a shot

I love fishing for just about anything but I have to say my favorite fishing is playing hooky from work fishing regardless of species
-
alright whens the autographing session? I'll be first in line
-
you should be fine with the new battery, most boat electronics seem to shut down around 9 volts, so if your cranking battery is failing the voltage drop on start up would shut your sonar/gps off
-
all panfish are pretty tasty as already mentioned, i eat crappies and perch but don't bother much with rockys they tend to bio-accumulate mercury quicker than other panfish(or they just live longer)

Non fishing posts - time for a poll (again... ;)
ecmilley replied to Puckhead's topic in General Discussion
Being that this is not just a regular forum but a fishing family I like to read about what everyone is up to and if I don't feel like reading I skip over it no big deal. lets stop beating ourselves over this -
If you like it buy it! at worst it still has a warranty and if you want to get in an evening fish to check it out shoot me a pm (about 20 docks south of Mclarens marina) not usually home from work till 8:00
