Great year for me non fishing wise. Got married, had a few great vacations and started a job that I love. Only thing I need to change next year is find some more time to get out fishing!

Food and cabin construction are my favourites as well as pretty much any fishing report. Worst are any political thread, shows the worst of the board

I find that most of the time there is always more to the story. Usually doesnt get reported by the media because its not sensational enough and doesn't sell ads

Congrats on the new job. I know the Lenovo campus very well as I'm also in the IT field and work with them a lot. I know you are against the 407 but the amount you save in time and even gas money by not idling in traffic will more than make up for it with a transponder.

I've seen way to many kayakers flip in the harbour. Very dangerous with all that traffic out there and then add the cold water at this time of year and it's a recipe for disaster. Hate hearing things like this but hope it can at least serve as a warning and make others think.

Keeping my eye on this thread as me and the wife are looking at buying a vacation home down on the Florida Gulf Coast and would love to fish okechobee as well as fish the salt water

A few years ago on this board dollarama lures were all the rage. I believe we even had a contest to see who could catch the biggest fishing strictly using dollarama gear. It was all in good fun and made for lots of laughs. However to this day I still use a X-rap knockoff from there and it slays pike! Bought a bunch of them a while ago as they aren't very durable but it's amazing how good they are for urban pike lol

There is no right and wrong of who to vote for. I respect everyone opinions on the candidtaes they like even though I may or may not agree with them. The only important thing is that you vote and have a say in how your country is run. If you're conservative, Liberal, NDPer or something else thats great just get out there and do it. Even if you don't believe any of these people deserve your vote go out there and abstain. Never understood why people would get mad at others opinions on who they believed in. There is no right or wrong answer (Unless your comparing harper to hitler, thats wrong. And stupid)
