  1. But maybe someone can explain to me what the headlamp assembly has to do with the functioning of the bulb itself? If I take a functioning bulb assembly out of my car or truck, it will still work. There's nothing electrical to connect bulb and headlight assembly, just a place where the bulb sits. The ground, high and lowbeam and signal/park light wires connect directly to the bulb.
  2. Well, makes you wonder why there's no 2 strokes in cars and trucks. Weight isn't much of a factor anymore., and shake, shake, shake your booty should be left on the dancefloor, not in the boat. I would also be sceptical of the emissions results of 2 strokes unless the motor is at full operating temps. I can't see spending $$$ for synthetic oil, just to blow it out the exhaust, bio or not.
  3. Is that so? There are"conditions" for the lack of better description that must be met before you are considered to have the intent, namely, the capability to make the vehicle move, ie, have keys to unlock the steering and transmission if an automatic, that the vehicle is actually moveable, etc. Sitting beside your vehicle...I'll not comment.
  4. Amen, Holeshot , get outa bed 10 minutes earlier and you'll make it to your "hole" on time, as for enjoying the smell and breathing the 2 stroke stink whether it looks like steam or not, , ya, you can filter out the pollutants for the rest of us.
  5. "Smoked him", in more ways than we like to choke on.
  6. Many years ago yes, then personal age along with wisdom and the odds of bad luck happening got me to smell the coffee a little more. I'll go out with the ARGO, but still watch where I go, nothing is 100% safe.
  7. I wouldn't consider doing an oil change on a 4 stroke "extra maintenance" matter of fact probably much less maintenance because, 1. you don't have to keep refilling the oil reservoir on a 4 stroke, and, 2, in my case, my 12 year old Honda 25 is running on the 2nd set of plugs, I may change them this spring, so the extra work theory is pretty much shot.
  8. A bit of mechanical work involved, drive shaft needs to be replaced, shifter rod replaced, water pipe replaced and outer case replaced, like Roy said, probably better to either trade or sell and buy another. It may just be plain difficult if it's already a few years old.
  9. No need to shout, turn off the cap locks, makes it easier to read.
  10. I don't know if I'd be asking for any of that..
  11. Well sometimes you have to do things right from the start or it the become THE PAIN. Coulda, shoulda, woulda, but didn't. Go to the Service Canada booth at your local Federal Building, listed in the blue pages, you will have to pay for an affidavit to change ownership. Better now than getting stopped on the lake with no paper trail and then having to go through it anyway.
  12. There's only two main categories, NEED & WANT, NEED covers the basic necessities, food, clothes, paying the house operating costs. WANT covers everything else that might be nice to have but you don't NEED. A lot of people would be more solvent if they understood this. I would like a 40+ inch 1020P TV with blueray(just an example), but I'll make do with watching my old 26er until times improve and buy the new one cash.
  13. Well don't feel bad, we just got back and cursed a blue streak for about 4 hours, lots fish on bottom, jig up a bit, they would follow, reef it up they would chase it, only 4 hits and 2 minnows lost with nothing to show for it. Ah, that's fishing, better outside than flopping on the sofa.
  14. Don't quote me, but I thought there were some Jon boats that they had sprayed at BPro last year. I know it comes in all colours, I would not want black, too warm in the summer, maybe a lighter colour.
  15. Intersection of Big Bay Pt Rd and the 30th Side road, turn left, that's where you go down to access the lake. Pay attention to the No Parking signs and don't park within 9M or 30" of any intersection or you'll be paying the ticket.
  16. A sad moment for sure, hopefully fond memories will help you.
  17. Well right about now you can fish out of the majority of kitchen windows for those that border on the river, get the picture, it's "somewhat" high to say the least.
  18. We use the E-Trex at work and like you said, it's a bit of a pain to get to the right screen and if you hit the wrong button, you have to start all over again, but you're right about the batteries, they last a long time. I've heard that a number of people have had grief with Magellan products and next to no help from the company, items like the buttons failing to work and bnot being able to access info on the GPS, hmmm, like when you need to get back to camp it quits on you, not good. I still like my 10 year old Lowrance, maybe not 1 metre accuracy, but I don't need that.
  19. I would go with the Yamaha, two cylinder engines run a little smoother at lower speeds, less shaking.
  20. Maureen, when they come, please put me on your list, I'd like a copy too, thanks.
  21. Yup, this is the only site, although if you use any of the other formats available at the bottom left by the orange box, some of those do work with one click. Strange thing is that one click works at work, same operating system, figure that out.
  22. Yes, licence plate, registration and insurance, lord knows I tried to convince MTO that because it floats it should be classed as a boat, naw, no such luck, but at least it's a non expiring plate for $35.
  23. Honestly, a mixed bag, Silver/gold WWF, a Bad Boyz with a rubber and #6 hook/medium minnow and splitshot up about a foot. I went back out today, hardly marked any, no takers, no stinky fingers, just a pleasant Argo ride.
  24. Couldn't have said it better myself. Top middle pic ended up a 5 1/2lb whitie on the right, used 4lb test with a super ultralight rod, what a ride. Going back tomorrow.
  25. Okay, then I wasn't doing the crosseyed thing, our lines were probably 12-15 feet N/E of our holes on both Saturday and Sunday in 90 FOW.
