  1. A snowmobile close to shore and an ATV further out, but that's yesterdays old news.
  2. Uh oh...step away from that mechanical device and go see Big Cliff.
  3. Without a doubt, either there's a bit of dirt in the main jet and/or the float needle is not opening all the way to let enough gas into the bowl. Another remote possibility is frozen moisture(water) in the the carb, but, with today's gas, that's a far one. As for the impeller running slow, either the belt is toast or you need a slight adjustment on the belt tensioner.
  4. Man, you got that right, don't miss one second of it, now I know when the sun comes up, it's time for "bacon & eggs", your body schedule gets regular, you know at 07:15, it's time to pinch a coil, and when Peter Mansbridge comes, it's bed time.
  5. Definitely more interesting than hockey.
  6. I've never encountered any spooking, even wiggling the camera, lights on/off and panning the camera.
  7. I don't think there's any rental huts left in Barrie, Cannings was quitting last spring and I don't know if she sold the business or not. The closest for you would probably be the huts in Lefroy.
  8. Healthy electronics hint, don't use flux on electronics, it will cause corrosion later, use the proper electronics solder.
  9. Yes it can be done, the guys from the Lowrance repair center e-mailed me the paper a few years back, I only need about 4' of wire and wanted to get rid of the rest of the ball of wire flopping around. It's very similar to putting "F" connectors on cable, just working from both sides of the cut. Solder the center lead, cover with liquid insulation, shrink wrap, then do the same with the outer braid, cover with foil, shrinkwrap and coat the ends. So far after 3-4 years that transducer stays mounted on the back of the boat and still working fine.
  10. Ya, you just keep painting yourself with your own paintbrush, leave the smarter ones alone.
  11. When you get on the ice at Gilford by the 2 bait shacks, look across the lake and slightly left(north) towards the 2 towers, head that way to get to the 20-30' areas, about 1/2 to 2/3 way across.
  12. That's a real easy one, go find one of your buds that eats that protein stuff in the 1/2 or 1 gallon plastic containers, the lid screws on tight enough I don't have any spillage. Once you get to the lake, open up and stick the air stone in and turn your pump on. If you can get a second lid, you can poke a hole in to pass the air hose through.
  13. After reading it again, he won't be charging anything of mine. "Batteries like being charge with lots of amps below the point where they boil" man where are you getting your info from? And don't say "I heard it from..."
  14. All I can say is I have a 10 year old RV battery from my trailer and another at least 5-6 years old from my boat, both still going strong. During the off season, they are both hooked up full time from late November to around mid April: http://www.batteryminders.com/batterycharg...io-p-16134.html
  15. Barrie docks should be okay for you, last week people were walking between the first couple rows of docks, A-F, I'd be careful beyond that. Cooks has a good 6+ inches just about everywhere, there was a crowd this morning, colder than a witches hooter with the wind, but, there's a bowl of fillets in the fridge.
  16. I think he was TROLLING and got a couple to bite. If he doesn't know about the seasons, then it's time to read about targeting OOS species.
  17. Entrants for the awards night are lining up again, just can't wait..
  18. Ya, it's a PITA, 2x click with IE, single with F/Fox, just I find F/Fox slower than molasses on some sites.
  19. Remove rear bumber? Maybe remove the front bumper, I can see that.
  20. Probably the saddest moment in any ones life. Hope the memories offer you some strength.
  21. I bought my Jiffy 30 in 1991, 17 years, it's been running on no richer than 50:1 synthetic, only changed the spark plug once.
  22. A wee novel...took me about 2 seconds... ..big ugli..you just for got a space.
  23. Do your wallet a favour and go to your local Canadian Tire, go to the oil section and get a litre of AMSOIL 100% 100:1 premix, about $9.00, if you can use all that oil in the next couple years in your ice auger then you have drilled enough holes to drain the Atlantic. You can mix that stuff at 80:1 in your auger and still have lots of lube and no fouling. Jiffy Lube is just another cheap rebranded oil.
