  1. You don't have to register a boat with less than a 10HP motor, but when the nice CO or policeman asks you for the OWNERSHIP, you must provide the OWNERSHIP document. It is normally a bill of sale from a business or private person sale.
  2. Not too old at all, mines going through the 8th year right now, had it tested in the spring and shows no sign of slowing down.
  3. Well then Brian must have his finger in the dike somewhere downstream of there.
  4. I'd be careful wearing that thing, somebody that's not happy with raccoons might mistake you for a ring tailed bandit and cap yo .
  5. Mothballs, the dammm coons use them for playing marbles around here.
  6. Just a couple of errant cowpatties meandering along, in 27 years I've never seen the river stay this high for this time of the year.
  7. That would be pretty funny, resizing the car with ratchet straps.
  8. What is the stipulation required to do this? Just so everyone else reading knows.
  9. Take it back and tell them you want nothing less than a 1 Ton, front and rear tie downs. That whole thing looks like it's probably glued together.
  10. Well if your on the internet, then you have the regs handy.
  11. Well you can't beat that combo, nice boat and a couple of nice fish to start the day.
  12. Now I'm beginning to understand why we have bad drivers, bad boaters, etc. No common sense. I guess half the province is poaching or illegally transporting. I think we need a couple of oak plank emoticons for the thick ones.
  13. Your possession limit relates to where you caught the fish, not where you're transporting them, wake up.
  14. Sorry but you're wrong on that one. Scenario#1. I went to Vances Resort in Spanish, ON, it's located in FMZ 14, only allowed 2 per day, 4 in possession. If you go up the Spanish river about 1 km you enter FMZ 10 where you are allowed 4 in possession. The CO's see people going back and forth all day, no one gets charged. Scenario #2, You go and fish Simcoe for 2 days and catch 100 perch, go home on the 2nd day and you live in Peterboro or anywhere in FMZ 16 that has a limit of 50. You don't get charged. Some of the Americans that come to Simcoe in the winter have to travel back through lower limit zones, they don't get charged either.
  15. Then by all rights if you are moving from one FMZ to another while transporting fish, you are only allowed to keep the lower of the limits wherever you end up, that's wrong. Even in Ontario there are areas where you are only allowed 2 walleye and if you reside in a 4 walleye zone, that would mean you could only keep 2, not likely.
  16. It's doable, although I think he'd be pointing at the moon for an 1100 yd shot with a 30-06. At 500, a 30-06 will drop just shy of 36 inches. There was another video of another guy dropping a coyote at that distance. The best live shot I've made is 420yds with a 165gr 30-06.
  17. You're forgiven, I like the bear though.
  18. Ha ha ha, just pullin your leg man, I gave those damm things up quite a while back and feel much better, the pants aren't screaming at the stitches anymore either.
  19. Okay, you can get back in the line for a Timbit..
  20. There ya go, now say thank you to that fine zoomie from Penetang, , Total Battery in Barrie is a very good shop.
  21. Okay, step away from the donuts, get out the good book and give us the quote, page, chapter, section and subsection, properly quoted or you loose points.
  22. Neither BPS, Walmart, Cdn tire, Costco "make" their own batteries. They are made by a handful of different companies and stick on whatever labels for the retailer that buys them. The same battery that Costco sells for $10 may be sold at BPS for $50 dollars, it's all in the labelling and perception. Some brands are better than others by virtue of how they are constructed, amount and quality of lead and other materials inside. Don't get sucked in by the hype of spiral wound batteries such as Optima, when you check the actual numbers of battery capacity (usable amps) per dollar, they fall short by a country mile. For the asking price, you can buy two regular lead acid batteries (starting or DC).
  23. Honestly, if it was was a long shaft and you're not in a hurry to cross the pond, fine, but you'd get about as much speed from a portable Sunbeam mixmaster with a short shaft. The prop is not sitting low enough in the water to get a clean bite, it's just thrashing water around behind the transom.
  24. A 2002 model will likely have 2001, maybe 2002 tires, time for them to be turned inside out and made into redneck flower pots. Definitely get the bearings checked too. Running lights you can check yourself. If the fridge runs off propane, open up the outside hatch and really clean that out with a vacuum cleaner, especially around the propane pilot light, ditto for the heater if it's not a portable unit. Good luck.
