  1. 1996,25 HP Honda, I would have to say probably over 1000 hours, doesn't burn any oil, runs well and no, it's not for sale.
  2. If it's a long shaft, it will be approximately 19-21 inches. If your transom is around 14-15 inches, you need a short shaft.
  3. Ya, that's what I said earlier, the speed he's going to make up his mind he won't have to worry about oil, it will be molasses in a few more months, nows he's moaning about batteries and gas tank.
  4. Good find Art.. For BillyBob, My concern would be more with the fact of the gas vapours being ignited by a loose battery connection than the fumes from a gell(AGM) battery, although I suppose either one would give you grief.
  5. That's the biggest part of the merican problem, they like to super size everything, hamburgers, pop, debt, fat hanging over the belt line, and yes we do have a small coffee. But just like the beer, ours tastes better by far. I've had Timmies across the border, it tastes like they ran the water through twice.
  6. By the time you get going, summer is going to be done and you'll be getting out your mukluks.
  7. Hopefully you have the bill of sale if it's only one season old. If your charger is working on the other batteries, then I would suspect the battery.
  8. Still, if there's a vented gas tank and fumes lay low, a spark from a loose connection could make for a pretty good launch. Why temp an unscheduled lift off.
  9. Offal, I don't know, you sure some of that stuff should be spelled awful by the smell of the can..
  10. I don't know why Meow-meow or Ruff-ruff cat and dog food companies haven't jumped in there to make animal food. By the purported amount of carp in there, it looks like a pretty good resource.
  11. I guess it depends how "unventilated" or sealed we're talking about. Even the batteries should be vented to open air to allow the escape of hydrogen gas while charging. Placing a gas tank in there that has to have a vent open to function, that might be getting a "little" tacky. One good spark and he'll be doing the backstroke if he's lucky. We had one on Simcoe this spring that didn't follow the 5 minute bilge fan rule...boom! I'd be looking for a new dealer.
  12. Don't blame the oil for a bad injector/oil pump.
  13. Hahahahaha, humminbuzzard, take it to the local fish market, you'll be sure to mark fish there.
  14. Gawd, yes, and don't over mix it.
  15. As long as you don't name her "seven of nine", that ones already taken. Cute little pup.
  16. I dunno, Tundra sounds like a miserable place, not something I'd want to name my pet/companion. Uh oh, just had a brainfart and remembered, you drive a Toyota, come on, got to do better than that, naming your dog after your truck.
  17. Well seeing as how it's a chocolat lab, how about Hershey or Caramilk
  18. I'm glad we're not giving birth to an elephant here, this is too much. To alleviate ground problems, I always run a dedicated wire(white) from the trailer plug all the way to the back to the light fixture studs and any other red or amber clearance marker lamps. Never mind the mickey mouse effort of attaching the wire to the trailer frame at the front. If they are new lights, it's very unlikely the assembler put the wrong bulbs in there. All wire connections should be soldered and covered with self sealing shrink tubes, forget the open ended crimp connectors, copper corrodes in open air at a pretty fast rate. Never mind wrapping a mile of tape around connections it doesn't do jack shinola either.
  19. Thanks for the update, good info to know.
  20. Can't screw your hat on either, it's hard to thread something square.
  21. I think you should go down to the interstate guy you know and have him read a few chapters of Batteries 101. DC batteries don't like being discharged below 50% and going beyond that really reduces their usable lifespan. Charge rate is normally C20 or 20% of their capacity. If he says 80-90% he's doing nothing more than trying to sell batteries.
  22. You're going from DC to AC back to DC, you're wasting a bunch of power in the conversion and in the process, you're draining the starting battery. Not a good idea.
  23. Bloke? Mon beau frere m'applait "Flash cube" parce que les anglais ont des tetes carres.
  24. Okay, I'll put you in for a commendation.
