  1. Exactly what I had for a late supper, morels and fried eggs on toast. I also found another one you can eat, they grow on tree's. I've never seen them before, they're called Dryads Saddle or Pheasant Wings.
  2. Moisture yes, cold nights, hmmmmm, wonder why I've never had a radio thunder in at -40.
  3. Time for the wrench. Clean the terminal connections, good, but why would you want to apply vaseline or anything else to the mating surfaces? You're trying to get 100% no resistance and that ain't gonna happen too well with your method. Tighten up the connectors dry and then apply whatever you want around the terminal and connectors.
  4. Oh boy, if that would only happen, I'd need a part time job.
  5. X2, there's a variety of full time battery maintainer chargers out there, they stay hooked up for the WHOLE time, no need to disconnect. As for putting batteries on concrete, it's bunko, get with the program. If you have to replace your batteries every year, I applaud you for propping up the battery industry. Some people don't learn. Batteries discharge more slowly at lower temps, leaving them in an unheated garage is acceptable, but leave them on the charger.
  6. Wayne's still got a good eye..or two. First three pics show fender wear marks on the outer tread bar. Broken leaf spring in the pack, overweight, or some nasty potholes, or oversize tires.
  7. Any tire shop will be able to get them for you. Princess Auto also carries a number of sizes that might fit you(the trailer). Here's a link for you: http://www.princessauto.com/trailer/trailer/trailer/tires/list-all/Page-3-30?orderby=product_name
  8. Go and take a look for the date stamp, it will look something like this 3205 or 1504. The first one is 32nd week of 2005, the other is the 15th week of 2004. Most tires have a lifespan of about 5-6 years, regardless of the mileage. The rubber and compounds deteriorate regardless. I can see porosity between the treads. Although there is sufficient tread depth, I wouldn't trust them. When you buy new ones, look at the date or tell the dealer you won't accept anything older than 3 months, it's your money and safety.
  9. Well I was right then, it's not burning off the condensation. Last thing after fishing or trolling, I'm usually about 3-4 km off shore and run the motor at about 2/3 to 3/4 throttle, that warms it enough to prevent that problem.
  10. Winds from the east......They bite the LEAST! Winds from the West... They bite the BEST! Winds from the South...Blows the hook in there MOUTH! Wind from the north,....Don't bother going forth
  11. Apart from it looking like liquid baby poop, I wonder if it's not condensation mixed with the oil. Some 4 strokes seen to have a bad habit of "making oil" from running at low speed and not burning off the moisture. I hope that's just recent and didn't sit in the engine all winter.
  12. I wonder if he knows which end goes in the water. Take the cowl off, if it looks like a lawnmower engine with the fins, it's air cooled, no fins, water cooled.
  13. I'm sure it has something to do with wasting a renewable resouce called gas, and I would highly suspect he's just wasting a little bit, whether to "look good" or "be proud" of his accomplishments has nothing to do with it.
  14. 10ga. wire, just a "bit" of overkill, 12ga. is lots enough, rubber coated 2 wire conductor like an extension cord, not the red/yellow/orange plastic shinola. If you use an auto reset circuit breaker and it decides to croak when the balls down, you're gonna be annoyed. 20A fuse in a covered fuse holder close to the battery.
  15. Complete with the air horn button and activator.
  16. Sunoco is now PetroCan and they have ethanol in everything, only the Shell premium is ethanol free..for the moment.
  17. Ya, right, I would say neither of you should be giving out legal advice or any hints of doing things that can give her grief down the road.
  18. He has 12" rims, 13" tires don't fit too well on that. Tractor Supply has the 5.30x12 LR"C" for $79.
  19. Are there any recent court documents awarding her the sole propriety of the jointly owned house? You want to change locks on something you don't own outright? Maybe some of the barrack lawyers should pay her fees.
  20. You must be getting the worst brand or have the lousiest luck. I've got one that runs my winter F/F and that thing has a 1989 date stamp on it and still works fine, mind you it's a Sonnenshine brand, made in Germany, not the cheap recycled crap from China.
  21. I thin it might be at the OFC photo site. Sorry, don't have the link at work.
  22. Ya, and the Titanic rammed an iceberg, it was supposed to be unsinkable too. I have my doubts about, "crossed a small creek with habout 2 feet of water" and "oil pan full of water" more likely tried to cross the amazon at warp drive.
  23. Trailer jack rating, most trailers are set up with 10-12% total weight on the tongue, therefore any jack around the 500lb mark is far more than enough. I changed one and now have one with an extra wide wheel, 4" wide, it makes moving around a lot easier on soft ground. For trailer bearing grease I use the Amsoil water resistant grease. http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/gwr.aspx Don't know about the carpeting. Seeing as how you live in Mississausage, you can pick the grease up at the Amsoil Distribution center on Tomken Rd, close to Midway.
  24. Not exactly the same, but my son has a Frontier with the V6, 4x4. He likes it, not a bad gas hog, winter it definitely sucks down a bunch more around town, on the highway at speed limits it does quite well, go beyond that and you can watch the fuel gauge move. He's had a couple small blips with some sensors, seems like after market parts don't/won't work well for any amount of time. He's looking at getting one with the longer box.
