Up at 5:30, bacon, eggs, toast and coffee, hook up, pick up half a scoop of minners, off to the Tiffin launch, boat in, then this voice behind me says "nice hat", ha, it's Skipper "D". That old OFC hat is just like a beacon in the fog. He's eastbound to the islands, I went about 300 yds in front of the beach, caught a bunch of perch with about a 1/10 keeper ratio. Even the weather was okay, light wind, no rain and the anchor held fast.

Hey, that's a long way to drive a snowblower and takes a lot of gas. Usually H/D has a "pre winter" blower sale, my son got his Ariens for about $400 cheaper a couple years ago. He's quite happy with his choice.

Still working on it, you'd think after about 25 years they could get something right. Then again, "looks" only get you somewhere if you're wearing a skirt while walking over the grills above the subway tunnel.

In the believable world, it usually means that it's a person who takes care of whatever they're trying to sell. For instance if you bought something from me such as an ATV, you can be rest assured I didn't drive it like some goatee bearded monkey on steroids trying to drown it in a mudbog or seeing how much air they could get before crashing back to earth. That's the same as "mint condition", everybody thinks their XX year old stuff is mint. No, mint is when it's new out of the box or barely used. Anyway, no goatee bearded monkeys have complained about my reference to their use of steroids.. yet.

I made my own from a 5 gallon pail, cut the upper rim off with the handle and left the ridges on. Got out the sewing machine, about 4feet long by 3 foot wide piece of nylon material and sewed it to make a cone shaped tube. The small end is about 6" open the upper has a hem sewn in with 550 cord inside. Slide the big end over the ridges on the pail, tighten it up and there's your bag. Slowed the boat right down to 1.5mph and it keeps the boat running straight when only using one downrigger.

Jeez, that's just a wee bit more than 1/2 price, good find.

Natural gas does the same as propane, just think about winter and all those chimneys giving off the vapour. You just don't see it in warmer weather because the vapour doesn't condense for the visual effect like it does in winter.

Maybe a 1 inch hole on each side at the top. It also functions to let out the vapour from drying the fish(or whatever else you're smoking). Are you aware that propane also gives off a fair bit of vapour that will otherwise stay inside the smoker. To cover the vents or make adjustments, you can use a small plastic baffle on a wingnut. The aluminum smoker I have has small crinkles in the joints at the top and also the front door has about a 1/8th gap all around for venting.

First time to go to this snow, it was interesting, took about 2 hours to walk around. Checked out the track systems for the ATVs, they cost a bunch but seem to be the ticket for winter ice fishing. Maybe the fat man in the red suit will be accomodating. Then came the good, the bad and the downright ugly. Part way around was a pretty sweet looking girl selling callenders(maybe something else for all I know) in a bikini top, that was the good, really good. The bad was a trio of spankys in black body suits selling the virtues of a certain brand of oil, (I'll take the oil and leave the spankys). Then the downright ugly was another trio of Goodyear enhanced tops with cottage cheese bottoms, nasty, nasty, nasty. I wouldn't even get close if they were giving something away.(Not that either).

In 20 years of smoking, I've never soaked my chips, store bought or home made. If you're using an electric heater, your chip pan is either too thick or not close enough to the heater. My smoker has a 250 watt "U" shaped element that almost touches the bottom of the tin pan. It takes about 1/2 hour for the element to really heat up red and then the chips will smoulder and make smoke. They never "burn" outright. Looking back at your photos of the smoker, if that's your chip pan, it needs to be a lot closer to the heater.

BIG anchor time.

On your present axle, look behind the hubs and see if there are square plates with 4 holes welded to the axle, that's what the electric brake parts get bolted to. If not, then you need the plates welded to the axle and the whole rest of the kit and kaboodle.

Heck if his present axle has the 4 hole backing plate, he should buy the PA axle, strip the required parts off it and put them on his axle that's under his trailer at a really good price.
