  1. I picked up my first long sleeve UV shirt at B Pro about 3 years ago, not cheap, then about 2 months later Marks Workwear had then on for 50% off, I grabbed 3 more. They work.
  2. Ok. This amount is for a big enamel turkey roaster style pan, about 16" long x 12" wide x 8" high. 3 lbs each of pork (usually get the pork loin package on sale at No Frills), trim the fat. Same for a 3lb beef roast, nothing special. You can add a pound of cubed deer or moose for a different taste, bunny works too. About 5 lbs of potatoes (Yukon gold my preference) 1 onion about baseball size- 4". 1-2 cloves of garlic, pepper. I don't cook with salt, it can be added at serving time. 2 packages of Francois Hubert frozen pastry dough available at Food Basics or whatever brand you prefer 2 days before cooking Cube the meat in 3/4" size, chop onions fine, crush the garlic. Mix all together in a big pot and leave in the fridge. Night before cooking Peel and cube potatoes 3/4 to 1 inch size, add to the meat in the pot in the fridge. Day of cooking Early morning, I roll out the pastry dough (I use Francois Hubert brand pre made dough, comes in 1kg packages in frozen food section at Food Basics) It's foolproof stuff, rolls out super thin. I start at one end of the roaster, line it with pastry, add a bit of the Tourtiere mix, add some more pastry along the bottom and sides, add more Tourtiere mix until none left. Roll out enough dough to make a lid. Now don't forget this step, add enough water to about 1" under the top of the Tourtiere mix. Top off with the pastry top, fold in the sides and seal it off. Preheat oven to 400F, with the lid off, in goes the roaster for about 45 minutes or so until the top is starting to brown, keep an eye on it. At that point, drop the temp to 270F for another 3 - 31/2 hours. Some ovens work a little different. Any questions, ask away. You can freeze and reheat this stuff, just as good as day one.
  3. I dunno, dammed if you do, dammed if you don't. How did it work before all the locks were put in place. Was there an annual flood or did things run according to nature.
  4. Cubed up the beef and pork a day ago with all the spices, today the potatoes were added. Rolled out the dough after supper, filled the roaster and covered it over. It will go in the oven for about 4 hours tomorrow..and fill the house with a sumptuous smell. Unfortunately I couldn't coax any deer or moose into coming for supper this time. Anyone wants to try this I can post a recipe.
  5. I think it's an excellent rule.
  6. Well I can see it being approved in BC, tree hugger heaven. Just amazing how much red tape is in the rest of the country.
  7. I get out my pencil, eraser and calculator. Knock wood, in 44 years(with one exception when I retired from DND), I've always done my own and never been off by more than a few pennies. Unfortunately they got rid of Telefile, so now it's back to snail mail. Sent mine in on 24 Feb, had it back 3 weeks later.
  8. Ya, TWN, bunch of numpties at best, special weather bulletins, chasing storms, etc.
  9. I remember reading this one about 20 years ago, only done with the Province of Manitoba letterhead: SUBJECT: Automobile Dimmer Switches Pursuant to the Ohio Department of Motor Vehicles Act No. 97, all motor vehicles sold in the State of Ohio after February 15, 1992, will be required to have the headlight dimmer switch mounted to the floorboard. The dimmer switch must be mounted in a position accessible to operation by pressing the switch by the left foot. The switch must be far enough removed from the left foot pedals to avoid inadvertent operation or pedal confusion. Included in the above act and beginning June 1, 1992, all other vehicles with steering column mounted dimmer switches must be retrofitted with a floorboard mounted dimmer switch of the type described above. The steering column mounted dimmer switch must be disabled or removed from the vehicle. Vehicles which have not made this change will fail the forthcoming Ohio Safety Inspection program which will begin on this date. It is recognized that this will cause some hardship for the driving public. However, this change is being made in the interest of public safety. Ohio DMV Act 92 will revert all Ohio motor vehicles to the prevalent dimmer system in use prior to the influx of foreign market vehicles. A recent study entitled the "Inflation Sequence in Ohio Nighttime Highway Traffic Accidents" was conducted jointly by the Ohio Department of Motor Vehicles and the Ohio Department of Motor Vehicle Research. It has shown that 96% of all Ohio nighttime highway accidents are caused by a blonde getting her foo
  10. Cheap viagra or is Olga going to try and make your Johnson go faster..
  11. We know where Orangeville is and we will find you...
  12. Super nice scenery shots.
  13. Nice work, just waiting to see if one of the guys can get one on his trail cam.
  14. F20 weighs about 111lbs, couldn't find the exact boat, but a similar one weighs about 200lbs. Batteries weigh about 60lbs each plus whatever the trolling motor weighs.
  15. It's most likely that the plastic under the small yellow cap isn't 100% flat. When you screw down the yellow cap, there's a bit of plastic preventing it from sealing. Find an old piece of bicycle inner tube, cut a small round piece to fit inside the cap. It should solve the problem.
  16. Depends on the size/weight of the boat package whether it's necessary or not.
  17. Happy Birthday, best of health. And don't believe everything about the hose up the hoop, can't be all that bad.
  18. Shhh, they might come looking for ya.
  19. For some reason, I've got some reservations about going down a river with pointy rocks.
  20. I would do a bit of research and see if it would benefit you to switch your dryer and water heater to gas, those two are both extreme power hogs.
  21. Last month which I would say was one of the coldest ever for us, $88 for electricity and $144 for gas. Gas is for hot water, furnace, dryer and garage. The more regular bills run around $70 for electric and around $85 for gas.
  22. Best I ever had was .210 at 9 on a sunday morning that the OPP brought in for a test. I thought the instrument was fuddled, second test confirmed.
  23. More PT and less cherios 9.9 are a bit heavy for that.
  24. If I was addicted to Creme Eggs though it would be very different. I would probably eat way more than one in any given session. My weight would balloon and health would suffer, however because of my compulsion to engage in my creme eggs I would be unable to stop and begin to create intricate self denial messages to make me ok with doing stuff that was bad for me. Then why are there so many blumpkins out there lickin their fingers, starting to adopt the shape of an egg.
