I use the big bottles abot 1 every ten days. I use a washable refillable bottle for in the vehecle and at work. Reason for using the bottle is it keeps the water cold without taking up space in the fridge.

One of my best friends who use to fish with me all the time ended up like your buddy. It saddens me that we never get together anymore but nothing I can do about it but keep fishing

I have no answer for that can. Well I have an answer but spending more money on CO's even to the extant of doubling or tripling our license fees would be unpopular and wouldnt work because of the way our constitution is set up regarding tax laws, You'll notice you never see any politicians campaigning to get rid of the part of our constitution which prevent taxes specifically collected and spent. They love the general coffer law.

That would be great but not everyone is honest about were fish were caught. If all you have in the cooler is a fillet with a skin strip left on it its easy to tell the species but not were it came from.

ONe of my best Ice fishing memeories is sledding and fishing the Haliburton Reserve for New Years. Lots of fish and good times despite sled breakdowns as well.

You might have a lot of trouble fishing in the winter there.The fish are under a lot of stress from oxygen deprivation. It gets huge winterkill every year. Good crappie fishing for a short window in the spring but nothing big.

Unless your saltwater fishing it just doesnt matter A reel holds the line thats it. Spend your extra money on your rod or lines much more important to your flyfishing.

If it was a few years ago and it was rainbows chances are there might not be any left.They dont reproduce in lakes and the lake itself might not be capable of sustaining rainbows for various reasons. For confirmation Id take a look at it some evening in the spring when there is lots of bug activity. Trout would be visibly rising to take bugs on the surface of the lake.

Man I have a sweet gig I do every spring where its all drop back steelies on a dry. The fish are ravenous come June and each pool produces one or 2 fish on the first couple of drifts before they are spooked out of their gourd.

I dont know about topwater but this steelhead came on a rouser-a muskie glide bait that stays near the surface you can see it hanging from its mouth

Equipment would have been seized as assurance of appearance hopefully it was good stuff.
