  1. Well my son is a very busy guy trying to secure a baseball scholarship south of the border. All of his weekends this summer were spent down in the US playing ball. I asked him what he wanted to do today the last day before he starts grade 12. To my suprise he says he'd really like to go fishing. So we head out after river smallies that have been pounded all weekend. I ve caught lots this summer so I decide to strictly be the guide. First place we stopped was very tough 3or 4 dinks and some WGSF. I take him to a new spot thats a little harder access and right away he starts geting into some decent 12"-13". Hes still enough of a kid at heart to be fascinated and capture a turtle Finally it all comes together for him and he gets this beauty 21 1/2" smallie long fish but skinny. Action Shot Photo album Shot The best part of the day was when he said he really missed fishing with me and wants to get out more. The day gave me a good glimpse into the future to see how our relationship will turn out as he becomes a young man. It was pretty special.
  2. In the words of our friend Rosey Grier http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHrwcQrY-JM

  6. Go a little further north to the Maitland there will be fish hanging around there
  7. I just made a mess on my keyboard. Amazing fish. How about some details? Casting, trolling, shoreline, rivermouth, shoal, hair jig, spoon, body bait???????????????????????
  8. No its called a float tube. Weighs about 5 lbs, my waders fins and camping equipment plus food are all carried in or strapped to one back pack. Can carry enough stuff to last a week. I wouldnt go that hardcore for anything less than 5 days. We park at designated parking areas after unloading all the gear. One person stays with the gear other person parks and bikes back were we lock bike up to a tree. Works great.
  9. Yep this is what I feel no motorized access. Ive humped 30k through the bush to get on some flyin only type places with no access. Anywhere you can drive to Yahoos are sure to follow. That said the no fishing regs that Jocko talked about are pure crap. If some can fish there all should be able to fish there.
  10. As a spider bite survivor I probably would have been worse.

  15. If they were from your usual haunt there is some natural reproduction there in the creeks that feed the reservoir.
  16. Whatever it cost you new knock a couple hundred bucks off and you should find a buyer.
  17. This Time of the year smallmouth will be easiest to target. Pop R's,minnow style crank baits and Yamamoto grubs would be my weapons of choice. Fish shoreline structure and the first drop.
  18. Both guys are amazing. Real fishy thinkers who love to analyse all aspects of a fishing problem. Like how to get Mariko to fish in a bikini in a bug infested cold enviroment like Mongolia
  19. No respect for Gord Pyzer? He's my first choice the guy is a fishing genious. Larry Dahlberg would be choice #2. And choice 3 would be Mariko for eye candy. Where would be Mongolia for Taimen
  20. Fenwick hasnt been lifetime warranty for more than a decade. Take it back o where you bought it have them send it to Outdoor Technologies(Company that owns Fenwick) They probably replace it for free or a fraction of the cost.
