OK Mike finally got to watch it with the videos. This is a Speck- tacular report. I think I might want to fish this place more than the Sutton. I've favorited their website in hopes that they update it. Thinking of booking in 2016. A spoon to the back of the head is a small price to pay for that awesome of speck fishing.Watching the running of the rapids I was picturing doing them in a canoe and my only thought was if I didn't have a skirt I woould be swamped in the first 50 ft. It amazes me how good natives are with their boats.

Same here I looked forward to his post in a different way than yours. He had discovered his love of fishing later in life and his wonder and joy really shone through.

Yup was passing through Stratford the other day and my first thought was Dam I remember the guy from Stratford who was so enthusiastic about fishing who passed away I beleive his name was John.

Nice report. Doesn't matter how careful or what you use on the brookies they attack so voraciously that occasionly one will commit seppuku.

Mike I suggest a stop at Alexander Dam on the Nipigon River to chuck some hardware I've caught lakers whitefish and brook trout there even in August.

Im assuming that because he's using a scanoe that he has a motor. I have found on most days I can move upriver just using my trolling motor in most places. So hopefully he'll be alright.
