  1. Thru the lip that way you can get your bait back... While the bait is only $100.00 each the cost of the livewell I built for them was the big expense. Art
  2. Knife between the eyes slightly back. Art
  3. Since you are starting out the Curado is the way to go. If the 200 does not fit the try it with the 100 or the 300 balance and fit are really important... Art
  4. Come on down to Virginia we use them things for bait. Art
  5. I have had a bowrod for years... it only works on carp though. Art
  6. If you really want a challenge go flyfishing for chickens (less the hook of course)It is the best use I have found for my fly fishing folly. Art
  7. You are right on keep them fully charged after and between trips is very important. Check the water in the battery and make sure you refill it with distilled water not more acid. The truth of the matter on battery chargers is people will drop $250.00 on batteries and not put the same amount for a decent charger. Art
  8. You got a good memory from when you were a teenager. But yes the battery guru's have debunked the concrete issue years ago. Art
  9. Nice job Ryan looks like a great job and I am sure it comes with lots of bonus fishing points for the summer. Art
  10. Don't let them fool yaaa Vinnimon that their is a genuine Catfish 2000 fishin combo. It was made in the 50's and early 60's by the Arrow company The red 3 means it was the later version than 1 and 2. It was used mainly as a "he man" bragging tool but soon lost favor because most men found it made it too difficult to open a beer after catching a fish. The company folded and retooled and now produces easy open beer cans and is making a fortune in the fishing world. Hope this helps. Art
  11. Roy since you are such a short oops I meant NICE guy when you find the reel you want give me a chance to see if I can get it cheaper in the USA and I will bring it to you at Lak Air. Art
  12. sorry to hear about your loss...when the times right you will know and with a new friend the cycle will start again. Art
  13. O.K. here is the match up 1 Shimano Chronarch 50 mg for the little rod and a Shimano Core 100 mg for the heavier one.Now get buildin buddy. Art
  14. Nope, sorry, beg to differ. With Pops house and the farm she would be more than happy here...... Art
  15. Roy I am thinking about the shimano chronarch 50 mg and the 100 mg. It seems a shame to get such a nice light rod and bulk it up with a heavy reel. Art
  16. Well I was talking to Chris and he said he could find time to get two baitcaster rods built for me so I chose these two blanks XMB844-TC Titanium Chrome 7'0" 1 12-20 lb. 1/4 - 1oz. 0.545 6 Fast 2.75 oz. RX8+S822.5 - 6'10" 6-12 LB Extra Fast Medium They will have the correct eyes for braided lines and an all cork handle I can't wait to get to Lak Air and take delivery. Thanks again Chris for the past and future rods you built me over the years. Art
  17. Thats great nice shiny NONTILLER boat congratulations... It sounds like you got hit for improper winterization that damaged it so if it is done to factory specs then it should be warranteed.I personally have not taken it to the dealer for that service but I also haven't had an issue with my Merc. While extended warrantees appear to be good keep in mind the price per year divided by the price of a new motor is usually equal to 1 in 10 motors needing replacement that is 10% and that is not a very good investment. Most insurance policies do not cover strike damage or owner ignorance so the percentages go down even further. In my world I put aside a few hundred a year and then it gains interest and is available to repair/replace as needed. Art
  18. Great.... The one time I decide to walk on water and Joe posts it on the internet. Art
  19. I also think you shouldn't be surprised at my public response. My attempt to help you has gone in a direction that I did not intend... be well. Art
  20. nope you are correct it would be best to not have it on a toggle switch because you could leave it in the on position and drain the battery. Art
  21. The ads aren't so bad after all they pay the bills for the cool updates and all of the internet fees we enjoy for free. Besides I found a few products that I wanted from opening a couple of them. Art
  22. Filling the boat up will put more stress on the ribs and the bows not on the rivet joints. I would feel better if it passed the worst test instead of the easy one. Art
  23. Might this help? cabelos easyloader canoe Art
  24. Why risk the ticket? Wait till the other OOS are legal and go from their. I can catch Big Blue Catfish trolling jig and fillets but with Striper bass OOS I dead bait on the bottom till the season for Stripers is open. P.S. SCURO2 While you think Roy is quick to judge remember he is a Moderator and has access to ALL of your information/posts/internal notes and I am sure he has his bases for warning you in a polite way. Heed the polite warning it will go far in your life on OFC .You also can P.M. Roy if you can not figure out what his reference is about after all since he warned you he is more interested in having you as a member than not. Art
  25. Sorry I got out my books today and forgot to mention that the solenoid valves are unpowered is closed and powered is open. It means that you need to supply 24 volts all of the time you want it open. You can get either an automotive heater cable control and put it inline or a plumbing 1/4 ballvalve that would be manual reach down their and turn.
