  1. Looks like the one deer got grazed by an arrow.Happens when an arrow is shot from a tree stand.
  2. I was at Restoule lake years ago for the first time and what we did is explore around....I'm not sure if this is were you will be fishing because there is a small stream connecting Restoule Lake to a body of water beside it but what I can tell you is Restoule Lake isn't that big and can be traversed in a day even in a small 14 footer with a smaller motor....We just went to weeds and rock and worked it out from there... Good Luck !!
  3. I guess it all depends on what your going after ?? I use spinnerbaits in weed cover when angling for bass, pike and muskie due to the single upright hook on the bait which makes it slip through the weeds easier. You can add a single stinger hook to a spinnerbait as well to increase your hookups if they are hitting short..Now fishing for walleye in heavy weed cover is a little different...There is a method called rip jigging.. Heres the link just in case your interested.. http://www.ontariofishing.net/news/nov2006-2.html Cheers !
  4. I would go with the live frog idea....They are usually easy to find and catch on location.... Many gravel pits around London have stocked bass in them as well and they seem to love live bait....I personally go after them with a fly rod patterning the food they eat....Mice,frogs,dragon flies, small snakes ect.....Gosslings and birds are a little harder to tie so I don't bother with those patterns
  5. A fine specimen of a fish Larry... Congradz !!
  6. Welcome aboard Luc.....Nice sheephead !!!
  7. Was a pleasure sharing the boat with you guys !!! Hey,who's that guy in the bottom right hand corner
  8. I just picked up a few items from Lambeth Rod and Tackle.....
  9. I would say,if an 1/8 oz is working so well for ya than don't fix what ain't broke....This weight is probably giving you an excellent presentation in the areas you are fishing so keep it up...Probably wouldn't hurt to add a couple of different jig weights to your arsenal for those days that conditions are little different.... Good Luck
  10. I would go with a combination, cleat and felt bottom...Best of both worlds !! Cleats/felt soles cut through slime and algae giving you a good grip on surfaces...Only thing I don't like about felt soles is they tent to gather up snow and you end up walking on compacted slush type snowballs on your feet...Not good but more irritating than anything.....
  11. See you there in the morning
  12. Welcome.... Jump aboard mate.....
  13. Canadian Tire has their 10ft. Pelicans on right now for $299.00 and the paddle for $29.00,both on sale. The yak is rated for 275lbs...This model is not outfitted for fishing but will provide everything you need to get out on the water... I have one that I purchased a few weeks ago(fishing model) and I think its great !! I'm 6ft, 240lbs and every time I go out in the yak I have been more comfortable with it...Very hard to tip over...I have tried rocking it as hard as I could and never had a turn over...Its a great starter yak for sure for a cheap price !!!
  14. Nice yaks !!! Absolutely a great idea !!! I will be looking forward to trying one out next week.....Perhaps we could take a couple down to Jennings,Merganser,Muskrats or even Keiths and try for some Muskie..That would be a blast hooking up with a big toothy critter in a yak..... Congrads on the new investment !!!
  15. My best days of fishing reguardless for what was always the calm before the storm....Its like the fish know whats coming and they put on the feed bag...

  20. Amongst all the other reasons..... After great thought on this subject I now know why it is I use a baitcaster.....I like the noise it makes when I cast out a big bucktail or plug and I like the mist shower it gives me on a hot summers day...seriously
  21. Just in case anyone was thinking this....As long as your using it for a kicker and not a full time outboard......Your main power unit should be fitted directly to your transom..... Good Luck !!
  22. Thats great !!! Congrads to ya Dave for making a little history.....Who knows what next ??? Perhaps lighting the olympic torch in Vancouver with a flaming muskie bait....... Kudos to ya !!!
  23. Don't like them, never have....Can't seem to get the sencitivity out of the rear drags.I'm old school to so that doesn't help much either.....
