IMO most of the people are here for the love of the sport/past time of fishing. I bought an outboard a couple of years back and it turned out he was a member, just that fact sealed the deal for me. But a sub forum where you can post your success with new gear, or ask questions about boats and other things would be great for a newb like me... Just my thoughts.. Tony

Thanks guys, I do like Pike but they can scare the little ones when they smash and run...I hope to find some action to put smiles on the little ones faces...The best memories are the ones where the fish plays the starring role, and the rest of us are the supporting cast. Hey all! I am heading to Restoule PP this Tuesday with the family for our annual camping trip and would like any info on the fishing up there. We have a 14 foot tinny and would really like to find some walleye or bass to enhance the kids camping experiance.

I'll be finishing my 20 years Regular Force service in April 09. I have enjoyed the time and look forward to many more years service as a reservist. I had three tours, Bosnia, Kosovo, and the Middle East. There is no other job like it. I thank you all for your kind words of respect, as I recall the days when the military was not as well regarded. Big Swede, fish are weird creatures. Picture this. My Dad and I were sitting in a 14 foot alumiminum, I am at the front, him at the back, so let's say we were no more then 12 feet apart, and at anchor. I was catching perch and pike like there was no tomorrow. Him, well lets just say he practiced his swearing a lot between fish number one and his last fish of the night (number two). I have no explanation for this. But sitting on your butt wishing for a big skie won't get er done. So keep beating the water and enjoy the outdoors, it does the mind and body good. Even a blind dog will eventually find a bone.....

Try boiling ginger and lemon in a pot and drink that nasty stuff...If that does not work let me know so I won't try it.....

I agree with tonyb, I think the kits are junk. Best bet is read up on what is working and try it out. But don't be aftraid to mix it up. As you can see for yourself on several post here, trolling for lakers and nail a bass, going for pike and come up with cats... Fish are werid some times...
