  1. Ya, why use rattles, beads, tungsten weights and things to make noise?
  2. As someone that used mono for most of my fishing I can tell you that it would fail too from that, I checked my line often so it wasn't a problem for me and most of the time I was using 17 - 20 # test. I used to get a 2400 yard spool of 17 - 20 # test Stren for around 40 bucks, so it was cheap to to re-spool.
  3. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Dobyns_Fury_Casting_Rods/descpage-DFC.html If I was in the market for a new rod I might try one of these?
  4. Lake Erie wasn't much better? http://fox8.com/2018/04/17/waves-damage-road-leave-debris-in-marblehead/
  5. Ouch! Around 30 years ago my youngest brother took a job logging out a 10-12 acre ravine so the land owner could dam it and and build a pond. It cost the land owner like 25-30 k to have the dam built, and muskrats burrowed around the dam and it washed out the first year.
  6. I'm not sure on what models that spot lock feature is available on, but it seems to be the new rage?
  7. https://minnkotamotors.johnsonoutdoors.com/powerdrive?id=13491 The shaft lengths available seem to vary by model and thrust.
  8. Ohio used to have " state stores ", they were the only place to buy a bottle of high test alcohol, you could buy beer, wine, and blended " water whiskey " like 40 proof in the grocery stores. LOL, unless you knew your local bartender well and were willing to pay double or more for a bottle to go? The state store employees got paid pretty well, were union, healthcare, pensions, and there must have been a couple of dozen " state stores " in the Cleveland area alone. The stores had liquor in locked display cases and the same deal with the slip of paper and getting your purchase. If you were under age? Don't bother trying a " state store " to get a bottle, it wasn't going to happen! One of our governors, as a cost cutting measure did away with the state stores, if you believe that line?
  9. I used parachute cord from Walmart to hold down the tarps on my wood piles, that stuff seemed to deteriorate quickly when exposed to sun and weather. I replaced one once and use braided nylon similar to light anchor rope.
  10. I often wondered about some of the laws by location? A beer store and alcohol store? One place we vacationed and fished at in New York was in a dry township, no alcohol sales.

  12. LOL, MS must be effecting my brain now! How did I miss that?
  13. https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l/44253 We seem to be having March weather here in April, except for the next couple of days I don't see much change.
  14. Video #2 may be a lot more help than video #1, and it is more recent.
  15. LOL, not crazy at all, my Astro vans would fit if my standard 16x7 garage door, my current 2500 series full size van won't, but I had an 8 foot high door installed on my barn when it was built. Another factor to consider is will it fit with a cover on? but that seems less of a hassle than the boat not fitting at all.
  16. I can see where the boat's height on the trailer could be a concern, is there a dealer near you? If that is all that is holding up a prospective sale they might bring one out for a test if you are close? Do they all use the same trailers? That may also be a factor if they are different?
  17. I am just assuming that since it appears to be just a nut welded onto a piece of galvanized steel that the bolt maybe the only stainless involved. It's broke off flush? no nub you can get a pair of channelocks on and try and heat and remove? I would put some anti- seize paste on the replacement.
  18. https://www.ganderoutdoors.com/store-locator/list/ They are showing a Tonawanda location.
  19. You lost me at dock sleeve, something like this? https://www.navstore.com/patriot-dock-hd-pipe-holder-10810.html
  20. Just curious, what is it broken off in? Some of that stainless is hard to drill a hole in for an ez out, you may need a carbide drill, and there are a couple at least styles of ez outs, depending on the situation one may work better than another.
  21. As I recall Field and Stream stores are owned by Dick's stores.
  22. http://www.kanolabs.com/ They seem to make a big deal about selling direct?
  23. Down imaging was how we found walleye and smallmouth on Lake Erie, that or head towards the island of boats for the walleye, they would even show up on a flasher.
  24. Alligator Ichthy?
