  1. This thread never ends well. Anyone want to take an educated guess at how many more posts before it becomes racially charged and dissappears? The point has been clearly made, many different ways (ie. terry's and mattyk's) of dealing with it have been suggested. Possibly posting signs in these areas (paid for and sponsored by local fishing shops, the MNR or other C & R initiatives) that clearly state the regulations in a variety of languages would make sense? Today our choice is, become part of the problem (ie. kicking a guys stuff into the water) or becoming part of the solution. Talk to local hatcheries, MNR, Tackle Shops, Maybe Shimano in Peterborough, Fishing Shows about sponsoring efforts to further educate these folks.
  2. Job well done!!! Congrats to you and the lovely missus...
  3. that is a lot of fish!
  4. Very nice!!! You deserve it, Cliff...
  5. Roy was in Toronto? And he fought you just for that?
  6. you need to do some research on your own. you have found the OFC on the computer, do some searches for charters and lodges...
  7. Hell of a way to learn a lesson. Glad it worked out OK.
  8. Well, that sure looks fast!!!
  9. Pigeon Lake. Rent a house boat and drive slowly while towing a jake or believer behind the boat. You will surely tag into a musky or two. Just be patient, be prepared with heavy enough gear and drive your house boat around. The good news is, driving a houseboat slowly is easier on the constitution. We all have been known to get wobbly legs on the houseboats. We did this trip for a buddy of mine and netted two muskies in about 4 hours effort. This is not necessarily par for the course but lots of other stuff to do on the boats as well.
  10. Should be fun. I don't think I have ever done a pool like this before.
  11. Is Roy your dad?
  12. Keep your booze away, or at least well concealed. They are sticklers there. Enjoy yourself.
  13. your alarm worked?
  14. Jelly Fish Tip...While they look like jelly, they are very crunchy and a delicassie in China.
  15. Is it a draft pool?
  16. Good Job Kirk...is your oldest older than OFC yet? that is a big boy for sure. Don't get him the red train (from the Thomas set).
  17. thanks for the future bail out Marty. I will PM you. I need information on income tax, property tax and some of the other unrealized costs of living in the area. I would assume (from having visited many times) that the social climate is very similar to the very small town that I live in now. Moving into a new country is somewhat earth shattering though.
  18. Are we not all employees? Regardless of who's signature is on the bottom of your cheques it is our customers who pay our bills. If we are capable of setting up an organization that can properly service our customers and allow certain luxuries (ie. company cars, vacation time, bonuses, increased wages and/or perforormance based bonuses) to the employees that we work with on a daily basis then we have succeeded. As the captain of the ship you work for your employees and your customers, your employees make certain sacrifices for the benefit of the companies overall good. GREAT leaders and entrepeneurs generally understand that satisfied employees make for a succesful company, they also understand that they themselves are not the reason a company succeeds or fails but merely a facilitator in the growth of it's people.
  19. I think the government should outlaw bridge jumping when it's being done to stroke an ego. Certainly they should create a by law stating that "Those jumping from bridges in an effort to "get some" or "harm ones self" must wear a Coast Guard Approved PFD to help in recovery of said person" Just bustin' your nuts, Jay.
  20. All I saw was the wire mesh grille. They should take that thing to Vegas again.
  21. we finally agree!
  22. I Have some questions that you folks would likely be able to help me with about a potential opportunity I have in the York, PA area.
  23. Also the town park is a good spot to launch your VERY SMALL boats. You would have to carry it though.
  24. They have a great big GIANT TROUT at the north west end of the lake. I always remember the big animals throughout Ontario.
