  1. Congrats...
  2. The Donkey One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey. He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off! Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up. Remember the five simple rules to be happy: Free your heart from hatred - Forgive. Free your mind from worries - Most never happen. Live simply and appreciate what you have. Give more. Expect less. NOW ............Enough of that crap . The donkey later came back, and bit the farmer who had tried to bury him. The gash from the bite got infected and the farmer eventually died in agony from septic shock. MORAL FROM TODAY'S LESSON: When you do something wrong, and try to cover your ass, it always comes back to bite you.
  3. Yo!
  4. Catch and Release...Into a pan of Grease!!!
  5. no pics...I am in PA and won't be up to the cottage for a number of weeks. Cliff, PM me again, I will give you directions. I am pretty sure it's an 1 7/8" ball but don't remember for the life of me. Take the boat to and and drop it in the dump on your way through. Consider me out of commission until December. If you need to do something before then I understand.
  6. $250, has some rust but i have towed with it and it appears to be in fine shape.
  7. I always like to talk about being part of the solution or part of the problem. The solution side has far less documentation in our media so I thought I would share a story I read this morning in my lovely Edmonton Hotel room. Globe and Mail Article I thought this to be a fun way to start the day on a positive note. Mayhaps we could build a local fishing pond in a grocery store parking lot where "snaggers and poachers" could have a great time. hahaha
  8. How about now?
  9. That looks like it would show you where to put different baits depending on where the Walleye are in the water?
  10. likely that is enough...lock'er up?
  11. You're right...Nothing wrong.
  12. We all have a lot to offer, some people more directed at others than directed at the problem. This will be the biggest problem that any human generaration has had to deal with. I am part of the problem. We use cloth diapers for our kids, then I drive an F150...I hate being part of the problem, but I love my truck. China is growing at a rate that would have seemed inconceivable even 10 years ago. We get acid rain from Russia and China here on a daily (when it rains) basis. North Americans live a surprisingly clean lifestyle, moreso over the past 25 years. When the same environmental concerns get placed on the industries throughout India and Asia we will no longer be able to support our own habits. Costs from China are up now over 25% vs. 24 months ago. We are not seeing this in the stores yet but trust me it is coming. Our habits included living in a disposable society, how many men/women walk around with a patch on their pants? Take a TV in for repair? etc. Keep being disposable and this problem will not subside. If you want to be part of the solution don't worry about the relatively clean emmissions that come from your vehicle. Fix something prior to replacing it. Become a better steward for your town/city/country and buy products that will survive, even better, that are manufactured in countries that are supporting environmental concerns.
  13. And from here it goes down hill.
  14. Just playing devils advocate, Brian. For fear that everyone would judge me for seeing me in a photo without knowing the circumstances behind them. I do not agree with what those folks are doing, at all... Also my F150 is just fine, Terry.
  15. Look in the classifieds section, I believe I saw a guy there that has this on his resume.
  16. That is a nice ride!!!
  17. Illegal, yes. I wonder if they were hungry and needed the fish for food? Burning in hell is a strong wish, they might just be hungry.
  18. Awesome!!! Congrats!
  19. Great if they are a necessity. I have a palm and have had both Windows Based and Palm based desktops. I have also had blackberrys and like them all the same.
  20. That was one of the days that taught me, why we love!!! Our children teach us why we should love our friends and our family. As many people have told me over the years, you don't know what love is until you have them. We are glad you pulled through that one, I know it was a real bad time. You have a beauty of a boy and a lovely wife to celebrate with tomorrow. Life is precious Gerr, Celebrate, even in sadness; know that short life (which we all have) needs to be celebrated. Be strong tomorow, Dude. Your boy is in good hands up there.
