I had a 1980 Merc 150 and it the intakes would get clogged all the time. Pull the hose off and blow it out, you can often see any debris that may be blocking and MacGiver it out of the hose.

where do you live? Lot's of dedicated stores that would be able to set you up. I think of TroutFitters in Fergus specifically. A nice deal that we have done there is to get the giftee a guide and a gift certificate. That way they can go to the store, meet the guide and get a feel for some equipment and then invest in something that will fit his/her needs.

I have a XXL Mustang Float suit that was warn 2-3 times then stored inside. If it would fit you and you could pick it up in Mississauga or Orangeville I will let it go for a steal. Thought I would put a line up here, I won't need it at all when I move.
