  1. Heavy smeavy. Looks like your building it on the decline, wait til there is glare ice and give'r a solid shove. Where she stops is the honey hole. Call sinker when it's time to come off. Done deal. Fish on.
  2. Absolutely. I tried a handfull of the knock offs, but when it comes down to it I go back to the original. Probably all in my head but it is where the confidence is. Die hard senko and grub fisherfolks love their Yamamotos.
  3. I had to forward this on to a couple buddies. This is bang on! If I may add, another way is to read their hat, jacket and t-shirt.
  4. I agree Nick. I do the same. Actually looking into supporting womans shelters a bit more, there is some real need there IMO. A recent story I heard really opened my eyes to what they do.
  5. Thanks Dude!
  6. Looking forward to some reviews of the Nanofil for ice fishing. The Duracast Tuf-Line is an amazing ice line.
  7. Pound for pound nothing fights better then a smallmouth fisherman.
  8. Ha! the Fenwick Elites are a wicked ice rod IMO. That's why they are in my store. Sinclair liked them I think. See ya on the 26th
  9. Burton Cummings
  10. Half in the hole with a snow flake beside it.
  11. Awesome guys. Ride looks great Cliff.
  12. Geoff, wait till Sin get his hands on something tonight. It should change your mind,
  13. He's definitely got a few lug nuts loose.
  14. I enjoy your writing style and the pictures are A1. Fish aren't to shabby either. Thanks for taking the time, great report.
  15. I was going to have fun and debate. Then I remembered my number #1 rule. Do not debate with someone who clearly hates capitals.
  16. Like Ron I am a big fan of Pline Flouro for no other reason then it holds up the best against zebra mussels from what I have found. However, last year I used the Berkley 100% Flouro and was impressed with it. I use straight flouro. For steelheading I am happy with DragonFly flouro.
  17. Just a heads up, 401 closed east bound in Oshawa. Complete mess this morning. Check the news. Just went passed it, will be a while cleaning it up.
  18. Killer last few days. Good points on crossing the river. If I may add. Some of us fish around train tracks too. Make sure you look both ways and can hear through your hood and toque if a train was to come.
  19. Now that sounds like fun! I know on Simcoe they spawn on humps and underwater points in 30 - 50ft or there abouts. Long arse time to wait for a micro jig to pass through the slip float!
  20. Cute pup, it is like having another infant in the home and as you can see above, poor Jack is already experiencing the effects of Second child syndrome!
  21. Nicely done sir.
  22. Great tip on the windows Rolly.
  23. This is a tough call because it really comes down to personal preference. I personally like the shorter 6'6 M or MH for throwing jerkbaits and cranks. After years of chasing big smallies on Simcoe with jerkbaits I found I could control and feel the bait better with the shorter rod.
  24. Perfect starter. Nice boat and perfect for most of the ponds around here. Congrats.
  25. I'd like to publicly thank Mother Nature, she was very kind the last couple days. Hope everyone else had some fun on the banks.
