  1. All the best my friend! One little bitty piece of advice. Get a book keeper, the cost is minimal and it frees you up to do what you do. I can hook you up if need be.
  2. I am a flouro user as well. When fishing zebra mussel infested water nothing holds up like flourocarbon, IMO.
  3. You got it. Went for a drive yesterday, nice to see fresh silvers clearing a dam with a couple feet to spare. I have my Omega3 brown roe ready incase.
  4. I agree with Gman. Look at warranty and service locations as a big factor in your decision.
  5. Personally love the cold and fresh runs of late fall steelhead. Just excited to get out is all.
  6. on the Lake O tribs jonesing with anticipation about the next couple days? Talk about ideal timing and perfect weather.
  7. I really appreciate that Roy.
  8. I tried to paste the 700 & 1300 specs here but they came out wonky. Can be seen at the link I posted above however.
  9. I have the 1300 in stock. Popular reel here on OFC! http://www.etackle.ca/daiwa-tournament-ss-spinning-reel-1300/
  10. Nice fish! Did you report the tagged fish? If not, let me know and I'll give you a gentlemans contact info.
  11. Ha, ok Joe, I'll bring one next time we go out fishing.. I assume the small 20 size will be suffice!
  12. I agree you get what you pay for. For the money (80-85 bucks), the convector is a great reel IMO. We use higher end reels as well (Clarions, Penn and Tekota) , but have no issues with the convectors. We've used them hard on the big water downrigging, with planer boards and with leadcore and no major problems.
  13. Amen to that. They take a beating.
  14. Not new, but I have a Hardy 15ft that I got made 17 or so years ago. Love the rod, I like it for big water and pier fishing, she's little on the heavy side though. My sage 13ft and stanton are my go to's. I put the new Okuma Raw II reel on an ole 13' team Diawa for the winter season. I like the KISS, not the reel, but the principal. Keep it simple stupid.
  15. Gents, I used to organize kids fishnig events in the past with big brothers and sisters. I have been considering doing this again and would love to have an event in Cobourg. The location would be perfect. If it would be beneficial at all, I will write up a letter to display my intent. I'll also include the youth organizations that will be invited from the area. Let me know. Phil
  16. Just to throw another reel into the mix... have a look at the Okuma Trio. Especially the very popular high speed model. Best bang for the buck right now IMO. http://www.okumafishingteam.com/family/284019
  17. Very Slick Ben. You are on top of the game.
  18. From this weekend in Newtonville. We still fish on our days off, sometimes we don't use rods though!!
  19. Imagine the boaters card you would need for a floating resturant.
  20. I thought about that on the ice CCMT. Sled with a small Tim's or whatever trailer behind it.
  21. Cool vid! I've had them hit my trolling motor, more then once.
