  1. I saw the show and thought that you were a natural Tony! They should hire you as a consultant.
  2. Here is my buddy Sandie: She swam by me last summer as I was taking a scenery shot here:
  3. I've got a really great tip for all of you who use two finders with one on the bow mount. When you are trolling, keep the bow mount in the water and use it to see what is coming up. I fish Georgian Bay all of the time and some of the water is tea stained or on cloudy days, you can't see in the water very well, so I keep an eye on the fish finder in the bow and it not only saves me from running up on a shoal that is just under water, it is also a good indicator when the water is getting shallower and it is time to turn the boat.
  4. Sorry Clampet, I saw this on the "where have all of the members gone" thread.
  5. So Diplip is Clampet now? Dip, how am I going to know it is you on the 400 now? I can't pull down my lower lip and set the hook!
  6. I deal with these shipping companies every day. When I log into Hapag Lloyd, they have an image section so here are a couple of pics from there.
  7. When we got our dog the breeder told us that the best way to teach a dog to swim is to take it to a beach with a gradual slope and let the dog walk out on its own until it can't touch bottom. Most dogs will naturally start to swim and some won't. You have to work if from there. She told me that under no circumstances should you ever toss a dog off of a dock and let it learn the hard way. She said that she's seen more dogs that are scared of the water because of this method.
  8. Here are a few more shots of the water-a-holic! I can't wait to get out of the boat and go swimming again I don't know why those humans keep getting out of the water? Don't jump on me!
  9. I think that you folks are being too critical of Jen. If you look closely at the blury picture, the dog is over the shallow water and in the next shot Jen is helping the dog ashore while standing in fairly shallow water. I'm sure that she knew the limits of her pet. As for swimming dogs, you can't keep mine away from the water. She even butts in on scenery shots!
  10. I agree with you guys as well. I know for a fact that the grease slowly leaks out from the inside of the hub because the seal is not 100%. Oil is lighter then water, so would water not slowly displace the oil? How can the alleged "New System" possibly keep any oil from escaping and water from getting in?
  11. Clampet, it's amazing how much you look like Uncle Jed!
  12. I can really appreciate that video. I've had an RC helicopter since December and believe me, radio control is very hard to master.
  13. If you want to see huge GBay Ski's, visit Cookstown Autowreckers. The owner Johnny and his son have some monsters in there that were all caught in the basin. If memory serves me, there is a 54 lb Ski, another around 50, a Pike in the high 30's and some monster Bass and Walleye. The 54 pounder was caught by his son at the age of 12 in late November!
  14. Have you tried 6 Mile Lake? They have quite a few lake sites and it is less then two hours from Toronto!
  15. I've been to Disney with the kids and highly recommend a small digital camera that will fit in a pouch around your waste. Take a few shots with the family and enjoy your time there because it will fly right by. I've seen so many people there with their faces glued to camcorders the whole time and miss out on the joy of watching the magic of their kids’ fascination with the whole experience. Just my two cents worth.
  16. Just jumping in on the thread today Wayne. That is the chute just north of the Severn lock beside Hwy 400, formerly Hwy 69.
  17. Wayne you are a riot! I LOL! Blackstone Harbour in the basin is not charted so would you mind flying over in the spring and taking a few shots of that for me? HA
  18. Nice find Taper. Did you hook up the hot tub yet?
  19. Is it true that your beer is not 5% alcohol?
  20. Squid, how do you feel about this?
  21. Hey Lew, you slept in today (3:15)! I had to strategically walk my dog today in order to minimize mud coverage on her undercarriage!
  22. Wayne you are very funny! I remember asking you to take those pictures! The end of the bay closer to your plane is where the Pike are in the summer. The whole bay around the island on both sides is 30 feet deep or less. Sorry RivRat, the fishing in 12 Mile is not very good at the best of times.
  23. My buddies and I use to fish right around the area in the winter and never had any luck. Granted we were fishing near shore hoping for Perch. In the summer I see locals trolling out towards the mouth of the Bay with down riggers on. I fish down near the east end of 12 Mile in the summer and catch Pike and Perch there.
  24. What part of the bay are you staying in? If it is the east part, there are Pike and Perch. From the government dock west, it is pretty much only Salmon.
