  1. Surprisingly the piece isn't that big. We were thinking the same thing about the sales person. It was a bit confusing because it was a sectional that we needed to get the mirror image of the floor model. It's easy, just throw the bills in the garbage when they some in. And anyway the house and the boat were used. And we will be shopping there again, once we pay for some of this stuff. I need a "man's" recliner and a tv for the rec room. I saw a video of a recliner that has a keg in the bag and the beer cup fills up from the arm of the chair, but that's what kids are for no? Found the video: http://gizmodo.com/5988791/i-cant-wait-to-sit-in-this-chair-thatll-fill-up-my-beer-from-the-bottom

Lots of pickers in nip... I've never had huge success in the spring. The fall is another story.

Hope you brought the rain gear Rob.

  3. My wife and I bought a new sectional sofa at Sears Home Store a month ago. It was delivered a week ago but since we had some renos going on we asked the delivery guys to not take the packaging off. Today the renos were finished so I unwrapped the sectional pieces. Try as I might I could not get the pieces to fit in a way that made sense to me. We figure one of the end pieces must be the wrong one. Head to Sears and it turns out that there should have been another piece that we needed for the configuration that we wanted but the sales person didn't include it on our bill. A manager says sorry and the missing, unbilled, piece will be delivered this Saturday. No charge. On sale, this piece is $699 plus tax, plus delivery. We are very happy customers and will shop there again.
  4. There's always room for dessert.
  5. I look like that after thanksgiving dinner… and it's not comfortable.
  6. I've used the scissors and they work fine but last year I bought something called snips and I like them. There a little less bulky than the small scissors. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewboomerangsnip.html
  7. I haven't had one on since early October. Need to get the "new" boat re-slimed.
  8. I think you and I have a different sense of humour Dan.
  9. Ya, you gotta watch what's one the screen when the little ones are around.
  10. So I'm making it harder then I need to? I thought I needed a blank SD (or mini SD) card to swap saved way points from the units hard drive.
  11. Awesome stuff. Sometimes, with fishermen, 20 years can seem like 20 minutes.
  12. Can it be done? Is it just a case of saving the info to a memory chip and transferring it? Both units only have a single spot for a chip. Thanks for any help.
  13. I forgot how much of a pain it is to troll from a console. I only had a few hours before picking up the kids from daycare. Things went so smooth I kept expecting to have the motor fall off on the highway home. I'm used to my hummingbird so there is a bit of a learning curve with the lowrance, but no big deal. I hope to go fishing next week and that's where I'll start to get a sense for any tweaks.
  14. Finally got out in the boat today. Just a quick tour and I was too preoccupied to take more photos. Although I should have had my brother take a few of the boat running but that will have to be for next time.
  15. Agreed that it is a very rocky area, but I'm not sure the lower water makes that much of a difference unless you are relying too much on charts or chips. Yes, "new" rocks become hazards, but some rocks that were under water are now plainly visible. In short, it is and area that always warrants caution.
  16. My brother with a nice one from Lac Seul. He's a big dude and that shrinks his fish a little. Smaller one from Nipissing on walleye tackle:
  17. He's likely eating those larvae as well.
  18. The stability (instability) would have to do with how high the weight of the person "sits". If you are sitting on a seat that is 3 inches above the gunwales it would indeed be unstable. Put the seat lower and the canoe becomes less unstable.
  19. It still amazes me how many of those interior camp sites can look the same.
  20. Awesome day.
  21. Nice, maybe my first fish in your old boat will be a 25inch eye as well.
  22. Nice job G. I think a few of us (myself included) could learn a thing or two from you and how to actually look like we are having fun while fishing.
  23. For steaks that big you might as well have the cow walk in itself rather then carry the meat.
  24. Tow vehicle is finally set-up... and the forecast is for thunderstorms for the next 3 days. Watching the weather more closely then a farmer for the next couple of days.
  25. Don'tcha hate it when they do that? And how did they get a copy of the regs?
