  1. Improved clinch was my go to knot, but when I started using braided lines it slipped too much and I switched. Check-out the web sites for the brand you are using, most of them will have knots that they have tested. Not all knots will work in all situations.
  2. For what its worth? After a complete tear of my achilles I was able to skate pain free before I could walk without a limp, let alone run.
  3. Reread your post, I don't think nanofil is recommended for baitcasters. Not that that makes a difference for your knot testing.
  4. There is a nanofil knot that I've seen on the net. I use a polymer knot and haven't had any issues.
  5. Ya I would have had to edit the audio if I was the one recording that one too Randy.
  6. Welcome. I knew everything when I was 17, and I've only gotten smarter since then.
  7. No, but I saw one fly across lakeshore drive just east of the southshore centre in Barrie today at 3:30pm.
  8. I understand the uncertainty, but it will be ice free by early June. How high and how cold the water will be would be a bigger factor. But since it can't be changed just go with the flow (sorry).
  9. But some of us do tickle... I mean tinkle... I mean trickle.
  10. Keep an eye on ^this^ guy eh. Welcome. Jump in.
  11. Good thing you've got the wide angle lens for those beasts.
  12. Get the keys to the new house today.

  13. Lakair 2008 Lakair 2008 This was just before Lew o'clock.
  14. Come on. The sun is shining, the water is calm and only 2 layers of clothes, that is not spring perch fishin' weather. Nice to get out in the boat again I bet.
  15. Unionized employees of the #LCBO set a May 17th strike deadline if contract talks don't improve, according to OPSEU.
  16. Right in Barrie you can get perch from shore, but I've never caught, or heard of anyone catching crappie there.
  17. I still cast the original shad raps the most. They have newer ones with rattles that are heavier but I haven't used them that much. The shad raps are the toughest crankbait to cast with a baitcaster. I usually use 1 of three reels: abu revo, Shimano curado and a Quantum reel with a flipin' switch. The Quantum is a reel I use for trolling and is not expensive, or as smoth as the others, but sometimes when I decide to sit on a spot and don't have a lot of rods in the boat it works (I just need to watch for the wind a little more ). The rods are crankbait rated rods from St. Croix, shimano and a bps carbon-lite. 6'6" to 7'6'. With the other standard walleye crankbaits I find that they are heavy enough that I don't have to be as careful with the set-up.
  18. Gotta love a team that posts its playoff series record against the Leafs on its very own jersey.
  19. For what it's worth The Leafs' have the first tiebreaker against all the teams in the East except the Pens. The chance of them catching both habs and the bruins is slim but they do have that tiebreak buffer on the teams trailing them as well.
