  1. Any truth to the rumour that mm is desperately searching his house for all of his Canadian Tire money so he can buy seasons tickets?
  2. My A/C unit is outside. Why would I have to let it dry before turning it back on? I don't have to worry about rain. Gentle water spray, not jet as mentiond. No different then a regular rain.
  3. The females don't stay on the reds. Not all the eggs are released during a spawn. And smaller fish do not always spawn, although that is more likely to be males.
  4. The gulp product shown will split almost every time you put it on the style of jig shown. Crazy glue doesn't really work in this case. Now if you use glue on this type of jig...
  5. I find some of the plastics (gulp) really need a different jig head. The jig heads with more of a wire "keeper" barb works better then a more traditional jig head as shown.
  6. Thanks to the Aurora Bassmasters Club there are used fishing line depots around Lake Simcoe: It is a vertical white pvc pipe with a 90 degree elbow. Locations: Holland River, Bradford – at the shore fishing area on the southwest side of the river as you enter town from the east on Yonge St. Lake Simcoe, Belle Ewart/Innisfil – at the public fishing pier beside Lake Simcoe Marina Lake Simcoe, Barrie – at the shore fishing area right beside the Tiffin Public Boat Launch Lake Couchiching, Orillia- , on the north side of the main public boat launch in town Lake Simcoe, Beaverton –at the foot of the public fishing pier in Beaverton Harbor Lake Simcoe, Jacksons Pt/Georgina –at the shore fishing area just northeast of Bonnie Boats Lake Simcoe, Keswick/Georgina- at the channel and popular fishing area known as Adeline Park just off Lakeshore Drive Club Link: http://www.aurorabass.com/?p=646
  7. All things considered on a beautiful June Saturday, one is almost tolerable… But he was a beaut. He's almost 4 and a half and if you post a photo of your grandson with a brookie bigger then anything I've even seen I'll quit. The hope is he likes it now, and loves it when he's 15. I'll start working on his sister in a couple of years.
  8. I picked today because Sunday didn't look good for Simcoe.
  9. First boat trip for my son. Bass isn't open yet close by, so panfish were the plan. Lots a juice and snacks. Even brought an electronic toy just incase. Didn't need the toy, just a rope for him to play tug-of-war with his uncle. Enough fish to keep him happy and after 5 hours on the water the grown-ups were the ones who were ready to head home. And at a busy lunch time launch there was only one bozo.
  10. Fishin' in the am with my son.

  11. I thought we were done with that red hook thing.
  12. I fought an anchor rope for about ten minutes on an ultralite rod in five foot waves.
  13. Ya, too bad I'm not that young anymore and now have a boat again.
  14. Bucktail type jigs work well because they also don't get messed up when you pull they through the weeds. Trailers and straight plastics can work but sometimes won't stand up to the ripping.
  15. That's a great opportunity. Hirk (my phoned wanted to spell hurl) might even know a thing or two about fishing.
  16. I kicked a hive once walking in a field, I ran all the while flailing away at myself. My buddy thought I was having a "episode". I only ended up with a handful of stings. For a long time after that I would "hear" a buzzing every time I walked in high grass fields.
  17. I'll be over with my magazine in 10 minutes for an autograph.
  18. He seems to be hiding it well. http://view.exacttarget.com/?j=fe5812707d6304787c10&m=feec17767d6d0d&ls=fdf31c70756c0079711c7172&l=fe9210767467077571&s=fdf11576726c057872127474&jb=ffcf14&ju=fe2911707d620c7d761478&r=0
  19. Ya waiting for the request tomorrow that everybody use the proper font colour as well. Dumb & Dumber.
  20. Don't know, but their marketing team might want a redo. Today the team sent out a friendly request to the media that they spell the team name in all caps. Just what every tweeter wants.
