  1. Hey Colin I was asking the same ? last year Some on the IceShanty Forum suggested an arrow case made by Plano. However not sure if it would fit a 42" Rod likely OK for up to 32" I never did get to BPS to look for one! So I am still using the modified 'Bucket' Rick
  2. Basskicker Having the Wheels/trailer as part of the Hut could be a challlenge A great idea for moving to and from the Lake and likely OK for the initial launch. But When you get to the mid season with deep snow it will be very difficult to move, and at the end of season you never know what you might have!! Could be deep snow or Slush or cracks which would make the tires a tough move However I have seen it as smooth as the 401 and you could drive the truck out to get it off!! Great Place This Canada Rick You going out on Simcoe? or the Bog? or??
  3. David Great report and pics!! Thanks for Posting Rick
  4. Rob Your Motor will drain if it is in the Full down position, Less than 2 months 'till 'Hard Water' Rick
  5. Just the Travel Cover!!!! It was White and Frosty when I took it off Friday AM before heading out LOL Rick
  6. I was wondering about the Bilge and the Livewell pumps!!! I thought just giving them a whirl when out of the water would pump out any standing water, But should I be putting some antifreeze in them?? Rick
  7. Winds are going down, Should be sunny and cool!!! Good to Go!! Rick
  8. Hey Lew You gotta get your line "wet"!! Gettin Out There is the best!! Rick
  9. Hey Fly The biggest challenge for the Mountain Bike is deep snow, So!! Your best travel time is Early season re First Ice little Snow or after a mid season thaw and Freeze. Or give me a PM, and if I am going out I will haul your butt out there!! Rick
  10. Hey Skipper As has been said get a 'Bruce' and a bit of chain. Rick
  11. Hey Skipper A 'LOT' will depend on weather conditions!! But If you get a good day with not much wind I would head due East out of Tobermory, then set a course for Giants Toomb. Once you have Giants Toomb in sight head to the South tip keeping Hope and Beckwith to the starboard and well off Giants Toomb. Round the South tip of Giants Toomb and Head East towards Beausoliel Pick up the Markers on the West side of Beausoliel and that will take you into Midland. OR If you want a more interesting/scenic trip which is sheltered from the wind Head over to Parry Sound and pick up the small craft route at Rose Island or further south at Frying Pan(Stop at Henry's for some Fish and Chips) or further south yet at Odonnel Point, which is Twelve Mile Bay and follow that down to the top/North end of Beausoliel and from there pick up the markers to the west of Beausoliel and into Midland. Have Fun and Play Safe Rick
  12. Hey Skipper ToDay the 'Wind' is keeping me off Simcoe!! I guess we were spoiled last weekend as both Sat and Sun were Great! Rick

  15. Hey Skipper This report might be a little late for Ya! But as of about 1300Hrs we have winds from the WNW at about 25-30 Klicks! So unless you are going to fish the very west end or tight to the North shore of K-Bay I would not make the trip over. and out at BBP it will be rolling Whitecaps for sure. Rick
  16. I would take my three Sons and the Brother in law to Plummers. and The OFC G2G at Eddie's sounds like 'Fun' Rick
  17. SWEEEET!! Very Nice!! WOW!! I Wish Rick
  18. Lots of Good Eatin' and apple Pie!! Don't forget the 'Old' Cheddar Rick
  19. 20 Klick winds from the NW will make a run out to Fox a little Bumpy for sure! As Terry said the West launch should be OK and work the West shoreline if the Lake is rolling. The end of Gilford Rd is free, gravel, and no dock. Monte Reno Marina at the 4th Line, which is Lefroy, is a concrete ramp with dock but it is 15 or 17 dollars. Rick
  20. That is one "BIG" Mooo for Sure!!! Rick
