Hi Ben He was out at Gilford for some early Ice Perching in December. However we did not get together. From what I hear or have been told, since His trailor and ALL the gear was stolen, he has not done a lot of Ice stuff!! He is mainly into the Bass touneys, Rick

I could of switched Spots with you, The last 2 Days For me,Lots of Whities, But hard to find a Laker, Good job getting that Little girl going again She was not that big to break a line, Travelling is going to be interesting over the next few days, By the time I am off shift again, I am hoping, there will be no snow or slush and we will be back on the Bike. Well What a difference a Day makes. Yesterday -27 This AM -12 Where we got Whities yesterday only could entice 1 today, So we were on the move and Budda Boom Budda Bing Fish On. Ok we have our Whities. and it is FAR TOO nice a Day to go Home yet!! Lets go 'Looking for Lakers!!! Meegs was again the lure that put the most fish on the Ice But the Williams did produce also. We go Wandering Aimlessly, Drilling and Jigging and We Do find one Laker and 3 more Whities. TRavelling was good, and for the most part the Sleds are still staying on top, did get into one small slush bed, The slush has been tightening up over the last Cold Nights However with the Warm temps and winds comming they will likely not freeze overnight and will get bigger, So play Safe and Have Fun One of Each From To-Day Rick

Hey Ice It was a GREAT Day!! A Long time in the making What with cancellations because of Ice Conditions,Weather, Family Commitments, Work and Iceman's bad back!!!! We finally Got 'Er Done. Although when my alarm went off and I made it to the kitchen to see the temp at -27 I was having second thoughts, But it was clear and NO wind, So load up have breakie, coffee and away we go, It was a chilly ride out to say the least, But as I said no wind and the Sun was nice, Drill some holes set up the Trap, get some heat on and we are ready to GO!!! Put down the HBird and OH YEA We are marking FISH!!!! Ice insists on fishing outside he says its not "That Cold" Then I hear 'I have One' OK he is warmed up now, Then My turn, Whitie on the ice, Then one more for me ,Then Ice looses 2 ,Ok Coffee time ,Special brew, Baileys , The Sun is warming things up It is a Beautiful Day. You get the Picture!!!! As for the travelling Most of the Slush has tightened up But we did get into a couple of small wet spots, Hard to believe water on top and its -25!! Had to chip some ice away from the upper idler wheels when I got home as they were not turning. Sleds are still the best way to go. One up they are staying on top. Two up you will get some slush, But the beds are getting smaller, Did not see any Bikes out there. Rick

TinBanger I have been using the 55 since the middle of Dec, 12- 32 FOW for Perch and up to 106FOW for Lakers and Whitefish. Zero complaints So far VERY Impressed. Rick

As Terry and Rip have said Find a weed line and keep moving till you get fish, a small Jig such as the Genz Worm tipped with a Maggot/Waxie or Imitation re Gulp Alive, Or Minnow Head. Or the Smallest jigging Rap in Perch or Glow color. The last time I was out for Perch off Gilford they were in 22-28 FOW. Have FUN Rick

Got into some Laker action on Simcoe To-Day. Couple of Fatties one Male and one Female Hump Back Creeper Got er Done again To-Day!!! Travelling today was sled only LOTS of Snow out there!!! Earlier in the week the Bikes, with one up, were getting out!! But today the only thing I saw out there were Sleds. The Slush that we found last Sat and Sun was tightened up by Tues Wed and still today we found vey little slush!! The sleds are running on Top. However with all this snow more slush might show up!! Have Fun out There and Play Safe Rick

Aaron Just a Heads Up You will find a lot more Snow on the ice since last Sat!!! We have about 5 " to-day, with some strong NW winds. You will find some drifts out there for sure, Bring a Shovel!!! Have Fun Rick
