  1. Always enjoy tales of boys with new toys Brian. Good to hear your enjoying it bud !!
  2. Just curious as to what he said about 4 stroke engines the same age ??
  3. Fantastic holiday Tom with some great fishing to boot. Congrats to Ben on landing that brute !!
  4. I've been sitting out on the back deck watching this system develope Brian and it sure looks like it could get interesting. I spose we could all use some much needed rain, but we sure don't need the storms that may come with it.
  5. Good to hear.
  6. For what it's worth, when I was fishing Chemong the other day I saw LOTS of dead pan fish floating on the surface and I don't recall reading anything about a panfish tourney.
  7. We fished Chemong on Wednesday and the water temps were 80F We only fished a few hours then called it a day.
  8. Negotiating all the extra goodies is a big part of the fun of boat buying
  9. If some of you guys would just learn how to fish properly and crank with your right hand the way your sposed to, you'd save all this hassle of looking for hard to find reels.
  10. And more often than not, the guys doing all the name calling are guys who've never caught a big musky themselves...funny how that happens.
  11. Ivan, that 65 pounder was disputed by many people too. I doubt there's ever been a big musky caught that wasn't disputed by someone and is the exact reason why many musky anglers never even bother posting pictures of their catches.
  12. Years back buddy would spend most of his time out in his garage/workshop/mancave. Rather than come into the house every couple hours he drilled a hole thru the garage wall and stuck a piece of garden hose out the hole and stuck a funnel in the end. Pee thru the hose into the yard beside the garage and never had to leave his beer fridge.
  13. The C4 is a poor choice for cranking large musky baits, specially the big bladed ones and forget about burning them. A good choice is the Abu 7000 as it's inexpensive but does a very good job. Huge spool and power handle makes big baits a breeze and it's also excellent for jerkbaiting and taking up slack in a hurry. Not fancy or smooth, but it gets the job done.
  14. I called Line-X about doing my last trailer and they couldn't give an exact quote without seeing it, but said it'd be somewhere in the $700 range.
  15. I'm right handed and reel with my right hand. Do whatever the heck feels best to YOU, not what somebody says you SHOULD be doing.
  16. I hope so Dave, I've got 1500 sq. ft. of new sod that's beginning to look a bit wilted in all this heat and no rain.....well, perhaps we can do without the tornadoes
  17. You & your buds always seem to have them dialed in Dave !!
  18. It's summertime in Ontario boyz...it gets hot.
  19. Saw that on another website this morning TJ, a real brute for sure !!
  20. We run the air conditioner during the day when it's brutally hot like this, but then after the sun goes down we shut it off, open the sliding patio doors in the bedroom and put the ceiling fan on in reverse. It pulls all the cool outside air into the bedroom and it's just like sleeping in the great outdoors....minus the skitters.
  21. If you tell the troops where you live Greg, it'll help narrow it down.
  22. Thank you Mother
  23. I threw my strawberry Sledge for a couple hours this morning and all I got for my troubles was a silly bass that thought he was a big fish.
  24. Most productive Sledge for me is a Strawberry color and for Suicks, perch works well, and for both baits I recommend the largest, weighted version. In warm water work them fast and eratic over heavy weeds and you'll do well.
  25. Yeah I hear ya, it's just something that's always rubbed me the wrong way, specially when it's a TV fishing show where the host spends the whole show plugging his sposors products. Maybe it's time to get back out in the yard and finish my work and stop ruining fishing reports Oh, and nice fish BTW.
